Mr. Edelman stated that bids for the construction of a water <br />main on Seneca Road could now be submitted after compliance with the rules <br />of law v~rith respect to the submission of bids. <br />Mayor Hodgson read a letter from_the National Rifle Association <br />of America, commending the Village of Mayfield, the B~layfield Kiwanis Club, <br />and the Police Department of the Village of Allayfield on the formation of <br />the Mayfield Junior Rod and Gun Club. <br />Mayor Hodgson read a letter from The East Ohio Gas Company, <br />submitting for the approval. of Council their plans covering the proposed <br />construction of a gas main and service between the sidewalk and curb on <br />the South side of tiVilson Tvi1,lls Road, west of S.O.M. Center Road. <br />It was moved by 1VIr. Endress, and seconded by Mr. Taylor, that the' <br />proposed construction be approved. <br />Roll Calls Ayes - It~lessrs Endress,Beard,y~hiting,0atess,Taylor & Swanson. <br />Nays - Nonea <br />Motion Carried <br />Construction Approved <br />D.4ayor Hodgson reported that at the last meeting of the Mayfield <br />Village Volunteer Fire Department, it was ascertained that the Fire <br />Department needed additional equipment costing between twelve and fifteen <br />hundred ( $1200 - X1500) dollars to meet the requirements for reduced <br />insurance rates for the Village of ~Jlayfield® <br />Mre William Shortle of the Payfield Volunteer Fire Department <br />explained that requirements of the State of Ohio now demand a !~ cycle <br />rather than a 2 cycle portable pump, which is the additional equipment <br />needed.
