Mr. Edelman stated that, if it were given in the form of <br />additional compensation, the proposed recommendation could be effected <br />by motion in accordance with the Ordinance which establishes the <br />compensation for police officers. <br />It was moved by Mr. Taylor and seconded by Mr. Beard that one <br />half (1~2) of the cost of police uniforms required by the members of the <br />Police Department of the Village of Mayfield be assumed by the Village of <br />Mayfield; such uniforms to b e purchased by the members of the Police <br />Department of the Village of Mayfield; and such cost to•the Village of <br />Mayfield to be additional compensation to the members of the Pola.ce <br />Department of the Village of Mayfield. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - rJlessrs Endres,Beard,Whiting,0atess,Taylor <br />and Swanson <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried <br />The Clerk, John Schwemler, filed his bond in the amount of twt~ <br />thousand 02'000.00) dollars with the Treasurer of the Village of <br />Mayfield. fir. Edelman, Solicitor, approved the bond as•to form except <br />that the spelling of the name of the Clerk was incorrect, which <br />correction will be made. <br />Mr. Edelman stated that service had been had on all of the <br />residents of Seneca Road, in Mayfield Village, in the matter of the <br />water main to b e constructed on Seneca.Road. The improvement had been <br />initiated on the request, by petition, of the residents of Seneca Road. <br />Mr. Oatess introduced Ordinance l~TO.1~60 entitled: ~~An Emergency <br />Ordinance to Proceed with the Ir~provement~ of Seneca-~Road..in~:the•_~VLlage'of <br />Mayfield, Ohio, from SOM Center Road in an Easterly Direction to the <br />Westerly Line of Beech Hill Road by the Construction of a Water Maine, <br />which Ordinance was read to Council, - <br />Mr. Taylor moved that the rules of law requiring an Ordinance <br />to be read on three separate occasions be suspended, which motion was <br />seconded by Mr. Endres . <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Endress,Beard,tiVhiting,0atess,Taylor <br />and Swanson. <br />Nays - None. <br />- - Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by Teo Swanson, and seconded by Mr. Oates, that <br />the Ordinance No. i~60 be passed as read. <br />Roll Ca11: Ayes - Messrs Endress,Beard,Whiting,0atess,Taylor <br />and Swanson <br />Nays - None® <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />~. <br />
