the Village of Mayfield will be required to expend to purchase such new <br />equipment will be eight hundred and eighty=xii.ne 0889.00.) dollars due to <br />the assumption of part of the burden by the Mayfield Village Volunteer <br />Fire Department. Mr. Whiting also reported that the Safety and Service <br />Committee thought it advisable to pay the Volunteer Firemen one dollar <br />01,00) per drill attended as an encouragement to their attendance at <br />drills. <br />Mr. l~iiting, Chairman of the Safety and Service Committee, <br />reported that the Committee recommend that the Village of Mayfield authorize <br />the expenditure of Eight Hundred and Eighty-Nine 0889,00) Dollars for~new <br />equipment to bring the Village of Mayfield to a class 8 insurance rating <br />and that the Vi1l.age of Mayfield agree to pay the Mayfield Village Volunteer <br />Firemen one 01.00) per man per drill attended. <br />Mr. Taylor asked of the assurances that the Mayfield Village <br />Volunteer Fire Department would be so equipped after this expenditure <br />which had been proposed that the Village of Mayfield would then be in a <br />class 8 insurance rating. ' <br />Mayor Hodgson asked Fire Chief Porter for such assurances. <br />Fire Chief Porter thereupon submitted a letter from Roy E. Julian, <br />manager of the Ohio Inspection Bureau, and a list of items needed to qualify <br />as per instructions from the State Fire Marshallss Office. <br />~. Taylor asked if no other articles were needed at the <br />present time. <br />-Fire Chief Porter assured Council that the items included in <br />the submitted list were all of the articles needed at the present time to <br />qualify. <br />Mayor Hodgson asked for the report of the Finance Commnittee. <br />Mr. Taylox^ introduced Ordinance No. x.61 entitled: ~'An Ordinance <br />to Amend Ordinance No. l~59, The Appropriation Ordinance for the Year Ending <br />December 31, 195l~~, which Ordinance was read to Council. <br />It.was moved by ~°. Swanson and seconded by Mr. Taylor, that the <br />rules of law requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions <br />be suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Swanson, Oatess, Taylor, Whiting & Beard. <br />Nays - None. - <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by Imo. Oatess and seconded by Mr. Beard that <br />Ordinance No. x.61 be passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes-Messrs Swanson,0atess,Taylor;~Nhiting & Beard. <br />Nays ~- None. Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />2~ <br />
