Mr. Beard intraduced Ordinance. No. l~62 entitleds "An Ordinance <br />to Amend Ordinance No. 231 by Providing Compensation for Volunteer Firemen <br />Attending Drills ", which Ordinance was read to.Council® <br />It was moved by 1V~. Whiting and seconded by Mr. Beard that the <br />rules of law requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions <br />be suspended.. <br />Roll Calls Ayes - Messrs Swanson'Oatess,Taylor,Whiting & Beards <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was-moved b3' Mr. Whiting and Seconded by,'Mp. Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Mayor Hodgson read the report of the Chief. of the.Volunteer Firemen <br />to the Safety Committee, which enumerated the list of articles needed to <br />comply with the r-equirements of the Ohio Inspection Bureaus requirements <br />for an 8th rating in the insurance group® . <br />Mr. Swanson expressed the desire that .the result should be <br />accomplished. Mayor Hodgson, upon:the assurances of Fire Chief Porter stated <br />that this result should be accomplished. <br />Mr. Porter then explained that further compl3.ance would be required <br />in the future to meet~new regulations, when they are promulgated, but that <br />this compliance at.the present time-would be sufficient. <br />It,was moved by ~[r. Taylor and seconded by Mr. Oates, that the <br />Mayfield Village Volunteer Fire Department be authorized to spend not more <br />than nine hundred 0900.00) dollars to purchase the articles enumerated in <br />the Report~of Chief Porter to the-Safety and Service Committee. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Swanson,0atess,Taylor,Whiting & Beard. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />Mayor.Hodgson informed Council. that Mr. Sheetz, Superintendent of the <br />Mayfield City Sehools, stated that one of the garages at the Mayfield Center <br />School could be used by the Village of Mayfield for the garaging of the <br />Village Service Truck® <br />Ntr. Swanson requested the Clerk to write a letter to Mr. Sheetz' <br />approving and accepting the offer and expressing appreciation for this <br />accommodation, <br />3. <br />
