A member of the audience asked whether.. any provision had been made <br />to dispose of waste water. <br />Mr. Feldner stated that some sort ~of drair~.ng such as a stoma <br />sewer would be installed. <br />Mayor Hodgson advised that this hearing was called to detertaine <br />whether or not a certain amendment should be_made to the Zoning ordinance. <br />He stated that arty application,for..a special permit. to conduct such a business <br />as is. proposed.. by th®, .8,edifer Bus ,Co.. Would have - to be presented. to the._ <br />Zoning and .Planr,~3.ng .Commission, .and to. Council and would requa.re their <br />approval at that time. <br />Mr. Selman stated that the purpose of the proposed amendment was to <br />put the purposes outlined above. in.the.same category with a street car barn. <br />It would sti71, be. necessary ,for an applicant to f~.le -~an application for a <br />permit with the Planning and: Zoning Commission... Then a public hearing, after <br />30 days notice .would be. required on the application for such a pex~.t. Then <br />the approval of Council would subsequent~r be required on that application. <br />Therefore, mangy of ,the questions concer,.ning.the purposes and business„of. <br />the Redifer,Bus Co.,should .be :postponed ,,until .they; have applied for such a <br />permit,_ . <br />A member,_of..the audience asked why it .was necessary to.rezone this <br />particular property.. - _ -. <br />Maypr ~dgson-stated.-that. the..amendmerrt,which has been..proposed is <br />not : an amendment to rezone air .property..within the Village of ,Mayfield,. ,-=It <br />is merely an addition to the-U 6 special permit uses. _ .. <br />Mr..Edelman stated. that when a special permit is issued, the use is <br />limited to that. specific, use.: ~,_ , . .- , . <br />Mr. 1tPh3.ting stated that indiscriminate spot zoning- may tend to <br />break down zoning Within. the. Village of Mayfield. No one can say what a <br />court Would do under. such.,circumatances. .He further stated that the tendency <br />Would .certainly. appear..to: be..that~ such:.action would -eventually. break down <br />the zoning structure as a whole. He also stated that such- a progra~p, would <br />eventually tend.to.a situation where the zoning regulations ro~ould not make <br />any sense.. _ A .policy .should .be-,.adopted and cons,istently..foh.owed. <br />A member of the audience asked whether Council may act in .,its;owa <br />discretion irrespective of the. outcome of this meeting. Mayor Hodgson <br />stated that the ,Council could so act. <br />I~r. Endress asked whether a church or school could be located on <br />this property.; Cdr.
