Commission of the Village - of Mayfield ~ Ohio" ° and - have -it signed" by its Chairman, Secretary or such other official as a~ay be designated by it and the Building Official of the° Village- of Mayfield shall not issue a building permit for any parcel of land divided in accordance with the provisions of this Section unless the deed of conveyance therefor has been so stamped. The Commission may require the submission of a sketch and such other information as may be pertinent to its determination hereunder. - Mr. Swanson, who introduced Ordinance No. x.68 consented-to the incorporation of the above amendment into Ordinance.No. l~68 so as to become a part thereof. Mx°. Swanson stated that the Planning and Zoning Committee recommended that Ordinance No. l~68 be passed as read and as amended. It was moved by I~kr. F:ndress and seconded by Mr. Beard that the rules of law requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. Roll Ca17.: Ayes - Messrs Swanson,Endress.,Taylor,Whiting,Beard & Oatess. Nays - None. Motion Carried Rules Suspended . Mayor Hodgson asked for discussion from the audience on proposed Ordinance No. 1~68.- Dr. So9vin, who represented himself to•be a representative of all. the building contractors active within. the Village of Mayfield, stated that the building contractors had met and considered the proposed Ordinance and had discovered some difficult portions., and that they wished to discuss these portions of the proposed ordinance with Council. Mayor Hodgson stated that the time to discuss this proposed Ordinance was at this meeting. Dr. Soouin stated that the meeting was a week early and that he thought that the Legislation would be far more beneficial if certain changes were made and if his group was given more time to study the. proposed ordinance, and was given more time to propose suggested changes. In particular, Dr. Sowin stated that he objected to the provision requiring the contractor of builder to complete his subdivision within two years. He also stated that he thought the two year provision could be left in and allow for: extensions in time. Mayor Hodgson stated that the Planning and Zoning Committee had approved this proposed Ordinance and the next action on the proposed Ordinance should be taken by Council, Therefore, if Council wishes to amend this proposed Ordinance, it should be done now. Mr. Oatess thated that there is a hardship clause in the proposed Ordinance which would alleviate an<y difficulty caused by this.prowision. A member of the audience asked what difference there was between this proposed Ordinance and similar Ordinances of neighboring communities. 5.
