Commission of the Village - of Mayfield ~ Ohio" ° and - have -it signed" by <br />its Chairman, Secretary or such other official as a~ay be designated <br />by it and the Building Official of the° Village- of Mayfield shall <br />not issue a building permit for any parcel of land divided in <br />accordance with the provisions of this Section unless the deed of <br />conveyance therefor has been so stamped. The Commission may require <br />the submission of a sketch and such other information as may be <br />pertinent to its determination hereunder. - <br />Mr. Swanson, who introduced Ordinance No. x.68 consented-to the <br />incorporation of the above amendment into Ordinance.No. l~68 so as to become <br />a part thereof. <br />Mx°. Swanson stated that the Planning and Zoning Committee recommended <br />that Ordinance No. l~68 be passed as read and as amended. <br />It was moved by I~kr. F:ndress and seconded by Mr. Beard that the rules <br />of law requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be <br />suspended. <br />Roll Ca17.: Ayes - Messrs Swanson,Endress.,Taylor,Whiting,Beard & Oatess. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />. Mayor Hodgson asked for discussion from the audience on proposed <br />Ordinance No. 1~68.- <br />Dr. So9vin, who represented himself to•be a representative of all. <br />the building contractors active within. the Village of Mayfield, stated that the <br />building contractors had met and considered the proposed Ordinance and had <br />discovered some difficult portions., and that they wished to discuss these <br />portions of the proposed ordinance with Council. <br />Mayor Hodgson stated that the time to discuss this proposed Ordinance <br />was at this meeting. <br />Dr. Soouin stated that the meeting was a week early and that he thought <br />that the Legislation would be far more beneficial if certain changes were made <br />and if his group was given more time to study the. proposed ordinance, and was <br />given more time to propose suggested changes. In particular, Dr. Sowin stated <br />that he objected to the provision requiring the contractor of builder to <br />complete his subdivision within two years. He also stated that he thought <br />the two year provision could be left in and allow for: extensions in time. <br />Mayor Hodgson stated that the Planning and Zoning Committee had <br />approved this proposed Ordinance and the next action on the proposed Ordinance <br />should be taken by Council, Therefore, if Council wishes to amend this proposed <br />Ordinance, it should be done now. <br />Mr. Oatess thated that there is a hardship clause in the proposed <br />Ordinance which would alleviate an<y difficulty caused by this.prowision. <br />A member of the audience asked what difference there was between this <br />proposed Ordinance and similar Ordinances of neighboring communities. <br />5. <br />
