Call: Ayes - Messrs Swanson,Endress~Taylor:;Whiting'Beard & Oatess: <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried <br />O~l.inance Passed <br />Mr. Edelman stated that the residents who would be affected by these <br />assessments could elect to pay in cash within thirty days if they so desired, <br />and thereby save the cost of the interest on the bonds which wi11 be issued to <br />cover the cost of the improvement; <br />Mayor Hodgson instructed the Clerk to notify ttae residents of the <br />Village of Mayfield who are so affected of the fact that they may elect to <br />pay in cash: if they so desire. <br />Mayor Hodgson read a letter from the East Ohio Gas Company. Plans <br />were submitted-for the approval of Council covering the proposed construction <br />of a gas main and service between the sidewalk and'curb on the south side of <br />Thornapple Drive, East of SOM Center Road. The plans for the proposed <br />construction were shown to Council. <br />It was moved by Mr. Swanson and seconded by Mr. Wh~.ting that the <br />proposed construction be approved. <br />Ro11 Calls Ayes - Messrs Swanson'Endress,Taylor,Whiting,Beard & Oatess. <br />Nays - Nona. <br />Motion Carried <br />Mayor Hodgson introduced the matter of the extension of the water main <br />on, Wilson Mills Road, which matter had been discussed at the meeting held on <br />'June 219 19~, and asked I1~. Demore to state the extimated cost of such <br />improvement. <br />Mr.~Demore Mated that the Village of Mayfield extends approaci.mately <br />six hundred and fifty feet east of the end of the present water main on <br />Wilson M3:11s Road and that 'the approximate cost of extending the water main to <br />the easterly corporation line on Wilson Mi1.1.s Road would be X9750.00. <br />Mayor Hodgson suggested that, since two of the three residents of the <br />Village of Mayfield who would be effected by the proposed improvement were not <br />in favor of it, it would be advisable. to take. no action on the matter. <br />Mayor Hodgson asked the clerk to inform the interested parties of the <br />decision of Council in this matter. <br />Mayor Hodgson asked for the report of the Safety and Service Committee <br />on the schediz].e of building fees. proposed to .be compiled. <br />Mr. Whiting, Chairman of the Safety and Service Committee, stated that <br />lists had been prepared but the committee had not considered them at this time. <br />N~°.
