Motion Carried O~l.inance Passed Mr. Edelman stated that the residents who would be affected by these assessments could elect to pay in cash within thirty days if they so desired, and thereby save the cost of the interest on the bonds which wi11 be issued to cover the cost of the improvement; Mayor Hodgson instructed the Clerk to notify ttae residents of the Village of Mayfield who are so affected of the fact that they may elect to pay in cash: if they so desire. Mayor Hodgson read a letter from the East Ohio Gas Company. Plans were submitted-for the approval of Council covering the proposed construction of a gas main and service between the sidewalk and'curb on the south side of Thornapple Drive, East of SOM Center Road. The plans for the proposed construction were shown to Council. It was moved by Mr. Swanson and seconded by Mr. Wh~.ting that the proposed construction be approved. Motion Carried Mayor Hodgson introduced the matter of the extension of the water main on, Wilson Mills Road, which matter had been discussed at the meeting held on 'June 219 19~, and asked I1~. Demore to state the extimated cost of such improvement. Mr.~Demore Mated that the Village of Mayfield extends approaci.mately six hundred and fifty feet east of the end of the present water main on Wilson M3:11s Road and that 'the approximate cost of extending the water main to the easterly corporation line on Wilson Mi1.1.s Road would be X9750.00. Mayor Hodgson suggested that, since two of the three residents of the Village of Mayfield who would be effected by the proposed improvement were not in favor of it, it would be advisable. to take. no action on the matter. Mayor Hodgson asked the clerk to inform the interested parties of the decision of Council in this matter. Mayor Hodgson asked for the report of the Safety and Service Committee on the schediz].e of building fees. proposed to .be compiled. Mr. Whiting, Chairman of the Safety and Service Committee, stated that lists had been prepared but the committee had not considered them at this time. N~°.
