1 <br />A member of the audience who had aided in the circulation of the <br />petition against the passage~of proposed Ordinance Nom x.69 stated that that <br />petition ha.d not been presented to the whole Village of Mayfield, but had been <br />circulated only in the northerly portion of the Village of Mayfield. He also <br />stated that approximately 80° of the residents of the northerly portion of <br />the Village of I~fayfield had signed the petition against the passage of <br />proposed Ordinance Nom x.69. <br />Pfister. <br />.. It was moved by Mr. ~Vhiting_and seconded by Mr. Oatess, that the <br />petition in favor of the reconsideration of proposed Ordinance No. x.69 be <br />incorporated into the ~~inutes of the Special b7eeting of Council of July 30, <br />195., and that it be noted ,that the petition was circulated by ~essx~s Shortle, <br />Wiela3~d and Dixon, among others, and had been presented to Council by Mr. <br />Roll Call: ,Ayes - Messrs.Endress,Taylor,'~Vhiting,Beard ~ Oatess. <br />- Nays - None. <br />I~4otion Carried <br />1 <br />Mr. Whiting stated that he opposed the passage of Ordinance No. t~b9 <br />and that he was aware of no reason to change his opinion on the matter. He <br />thought that the significent number of signatures on the petition a_rx favor of <br />reconsideration of proposed Ordinance No. 4 69 merited consideration. Mr. <br />Oatess questioned the advisability of another public .hearing on this matter. <br />11~tr. ,Whiting suggested, since new matters are to be oo nsidered, it seems <br />that another public hearing must be held on the passage of proposed Ordinance <br />Nom 169 . <br />It4r. Walsh stated that SOPyT Center Road is a highway, and that in the <br />future it will be commercialized to some extent, at least.. Therefore, a <br />Redifer Bus Terminal would be the least objectionable commercial enterprise. <br />Pvir. 'dValsh stated that future action should be taken by Council in arm event. <br />Mr. Vdhiting stated that it seemed that the petition in favor of <br />reconsideration of proposed Ordinance No. x.69 eras not fairly presented to <br />those whose signatures had been procured. IJir. Taylor asked of the procedure v,r <br />which must be followed by the Redifer Bus Company if Ordinance No. l~69 is <br />passed. Mayor I~odgson stated that all the procedures applicable to the <br />procurement of a special permit under the Zoning Ordinances of the Village <br />of P~~ayfield must still be follotiYed. <br />It was moved by Mr. Endress, seconded by Mr. Beard, that_the vote <br />on proposed Ordinance No. t~69 be reconsidered. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - P~Zessrs Endress, Taylor, Whiting, Beard & Oatess. <br />Nays - None. <br />P.4otion Carried <br />1 <br />Mayor Hodgson stated that a public hearing will be held on the <br />application for a special permit to operate any business on the property thus <br />affected by proposed Ordinance No. l~69. <br />3. <br />
