l~Ir. Swanson, who introduced Ordinance No, ?~68, ~ consented to the <br />incorporation of the foregoing amendment into the said proposed Ordinance. <br />Imo. Hendershottt stated that the developers considered bank gravel to <br />be as good an. ingredient in the preparation of roads as water bound macadam, <br />as is required by proposed Ordinance No. ?~68. <br />Mayor Hodgson stated that the matter had been considered and it had <br />been determined•,that proper quality bank gravel was not available isi sufficient <br />quantities in this area to warrant the inclusion of. bank gravel as an ingredient <br />in proposed Ordinance No. 168. • <br />- Mr. Hendershott stated that in the fifth from the last line under <br />Section 6B (c), there appeared to be. an ambiguity. <br />Mr. Swanson proposed the following changes in Section 6B (c) of <br />proposed Ordinance No. J.~68: In the fifth from t he last line under Section <br />6B c), the word ":it" should be changed to "the plan therefor." .Also in <br />the..third from the last line i.n. that paragraph, the period, after the words <br />' pillage Engineer, ° should be ck~anged to a comma. <br />N~. Hendershott stated that the developers deemed the unlimited <br />discretion of. the •~Tillage Engineer in the matter of deposits under Section <br />6B (d). 3 of proposed Ordinance No. x.68 objectionable. • <br />Mr. Beard proposed that under Section 6B (d) 3 the folio-,~.ing <br />additions should be made: ..;After the .first sentence; the period should be <br />changed to a comma and thefollowing i~ords ,added: "Equal to 5~ of the <br />total cost of the temporary pavement." <br />Mr. Swanson, .who introduced Ordinance No. x.68,, consented to the <br />incorporation of the foregoing amendment into the said proposed Ordinance. <br />Mr. Hendershott stated that the developers considered as objec•ti.on- <br />able several items in Section 6B (e) which he thereupon explained. <br />Nh°..Oatess proposed that under Section bB (e) the following changes <br />be madem In the first paragraph on the page, in the third from the last '1:sne <br />thereof, the words "or Fall" shall follow the word "Summer."' Also in the <br />same paragraph, the_sixth line thereof, after the words " a surety bond" the <br />fo7lo~ring words shall be added? "or security in such form as may be approved <br />by Council." ~ _ <br />T'~°. Swan son, who introduced Ordinance No. t~68, consented to the <br />incorporation. of the foregoing amendment into the said proposed~Ordinance. <br />Ira Hendershott said that the devel®pers considered several items <br />in Section 7 b to be objectionable, which items he thereupon•explained. <br />T'~r. Beard proposed that under Section 7 b of proposed Ordinance <br />No. t~68 the following changes be made: • <br />In Section 7 b on Page 7, at the end of the first sentence, the <br />period should be changed to.a comma and the following language added: "finless <br />council, upon godc~ cause rho-gyn., shall extend the time."' The next sentence <br />should begin: "If, however, after two years, or after the period of extension <br />20 <br />
