Mayor Endress then reported that Fire Chief Nelson Porter had given <br />him at the Turkey Raffle, a bi71 of sale for the Field Truck wlu.ch the Firemen <br />were presenting to the pillage, which he accepted and acknotirledged with thanks. <br />It was moved by Mr. S.~aanson, seconded by Mr. Taylor, that this Field Truck <br />be accepted ~r3.th great appreciation in the name of the Village. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - ~jessrs Swanson, Taylor, Beard, Whiting, Oatess <br />and Strater. <br />Nays - None'. <br />' Motion Carried <br />Mayor Endress then asked if Council cared to take up the Sewer <br />Legislation at this time. Council, felt that it should be put off until our <br />regular meeting to give the new member of Council time to acquaint himself <br />with the problem. Our Engineer, Mr. Demore, at this point said that he <br />thought Gates Mi11s was about to pass ..this legislation. <br />The Clerk asked that Council approve the salary check of former <br />M,a.yor Hodgson at this meeting. It was moved by I~r. Swanson, seconded by <br />fir. Taylor, that the Clerk send a check to Mr. Hodgson. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Swanson, Taylor, Beard, 'Whiting, Oatess <br />and Strater. <br />Nays - P3one. <br />Motion Carried <br />The Clerk then asked that Council establish a petty cash fund for <br />the Nla.yor~s Police Court' stating that on numerous occasions he had found <br />the Ma.yor~and the Police Chief unable to make change U~.thout great financial <br />wizardry® <br />Mr. Swanson then introduced Resolution No. 26~. entitled: t~A Resolution <br />to Create a Petty Cash Fund for the Clerk of the Mayorts Court," which resolution <br />was read to Council, - <br />It wa.s moved by Mr. Taylor, seconded by Mr. Whiting, that the <br />rules of law stating that a resolution must be read on three separate occasions <br />be suspended. <br />3• <br />
