Tyr, Whiting then introduced Ordinance No. 185 entitled: "An <br />Ordinance to Purchase a New Police Automobile and to Se11 the Present <br />Police Automobile to Euclid Ford Co." which ordinance was read to Council. <br />It was moved by Mr. Taylor, seconded by Mr. Swanson, that the <br />rules of la~T requiring an ordinance -to be read on three separate occasions <br />be suspended® <br />RoL~ Call: Ayes - T~essrs S~~ranson,strater,Taylor,~l~lh.iting,Beard ec Oatess. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by jir. Taylor, seconded by Tfr. Oatess, that Ordinance <br />No. l~85 be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes -Messrs Swanson,Strater,Taylor,~nlhif,ing,Beard .w <br />Oatess. <br />- Nays - None. <br />T~Iotion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />It was moved by Mr. Taylor, seconded by Mr. Oatess, that the police <br />department purchase a power booster for the new Ford not to exceed X100.00, <br />Roll Call: Ayes - T`Tessrs Swanson,Strater,Taylor,L'lhiting,Beard & <br />Oates. <br />Nays - None. <br />lotion Carried <br />ITayor Endress then asked for a report from the Safety Committee: <br />Njr. whiting stated that the Safety Committee had recommended various actions <br />- to be taken zrhich he would entunera-te one at a time and give Council a chance <br />to act upon. them, - <br />No. 1. The Safety Committee had from various sources and on a <br />number of~occasions complaints of our garbage pick-up by Ralph Quigley. <br />The Safety Committee recommended therefore that this pick-up service be <br />given to George and Julian ,Quigley, competitors in the same business, and <br />stated that they would perform this service for X100,00 per month. <br />It was moved by I`~r. Oates, seconded by Mr. Taylor, that our <br />,garbage pick up service be turned over to George and Julian Quigley at <br />~p100,00 per month, the garbage to be picked up t-aee?sly. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Swanson,Strater,Taylor,Whiting,Beard <br />- - and Oatess. <br />Nays - Dtone, <br />Motion Carried <br />2. <br />
