Beard, that Ordinance <br />No. ~81~ be .passed as read., <br />Roll Call: Ayes o Messrs Swanson,Strater,Taylor,WTv.ting,Beard ~ Oatess. <br />.Nays -None. <br />' Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />iflayor -undress then read a letter from WiLoughby Hills, expressing <br />their appreciation and thanks for the cooperation given by the T°Iayfield <br />Village Fix°e Department in the recent fire on Eddy Road in that Village® <br />': It Uras moved by Tyr. Oatess, seconded~by llr. Whiting, that our <br />engineer bring the tracing maps in the Town Hall up to date and make one <br />half dozen copies for village use. <br />Roll Call: Ayes -Messrs SwansonStrater,Taylor,Whiting,Beard & Oatess. <br />Nays -None. <br />Notion Carried . <br />Our Engineer suggested that Council freeze arty development until <br />after the sewer had been put in.. This_taas discussed by Council, but no <br />action taken. o~ Engineer was asl~ed to notify -the builders of the proposed <br />sewer. <br />Mayor Endress read a letter from Highland Heights,.enclosing a <br />copy of an Ord~.nance passed by that Village- relative to installation of a <br />traffic signal a•t the corner of Lander and Wilson T"fills Road, in which they <br />asked our Village to assume half_the cost and pass a similar ordinance. <br />Our Police. Chief, ~`Tr. Dixon, stated that this signal was very necessary <br />two or three times during the day and could be left on caution at other <br />times. After some discussion, Council askedlir. Dixon to brim in the cost <br />of this project. <br />A letter from ~~'tayor Ritter of T~~ayfield Heights was read, in which <br />he asked. that our viLl~,ge assume half the repair and maintenance costs of <br />Ridgebury Blvd, Council asked that Tjr. Wieland discuss this matter with <br />the Service Director of lTayfield Heights and report back to Council. <br />:~ representative of the Ohio Bell Telephone Co. was present and <br />discussed tirith Council the fact that they had appal^atus at our local exchange <br />to take fire caL1s and automatically give information to firemen as they <br />called in. He said that this apparatus tras free, but that he could not <br />discuss costs of installation of the service in our village at the present <br />time. finis also brought up for discussion a phone answering service for <br />our village to take the load off the wives of our Fire Chief and Police <br />Chief and allots them sufficient free time to handle their other household <br />duties. Mr. Dixon said that it had been proposed by Highland Heights that <br />they and our village share the costs of a dlr. Weice of ~.l;.6 r2iner Road for <br />this pu._rpose. ~Tr. Weice, who is always at home, could give our villages <br />°almost a 2~. hour phone answering coverage. Mr. Strater than introduced <br />ordinance No. ~.9~. entitled: "An ordinance to Enter Into a Contract With <br />John Weice for Telephone Answering Service", which ordinance was read to <br />Council. <br />6. <br />
