Mr. Swanson took up the matter of the Grange helping with the storm windows.. He stated that he had attended the last Grange meeting and had brought up.,the matter at this meeting. The Cmange, he found, were contemplating a three day Home Day this year .around the ~.th of July and, there was a possibility that some of the profits of Home Day could go toward this project. Mr..Swanson stated that he had. been mald.ng contacts regarding the purchase of Storm Windows and•thoughr there was a possibility that we might save the salesmen's commission on this purchase. However, he felt that it would be t~.se to defer this matter until after Home. Day. Mr. Oates then read the Treasurer's Report of the Civic Improve- ment Committee wlu.ch included the ~'~others-.Club, ~ the Grange ~'15l~7, and the Civic Club and Firemen. He then asked that the clerk incorporate this report in the minutes of-the meeting. The report is as follows: Deposited Ju1.y 7, 1950 X177.99 Paid to J. Oatess then turned over to the Clerk a checl{ for X56.15 and stated that he would like to take the ~i200.00 already available for the ceiling and the~56.15 given to the clerk and get started on the ceiling. Mr. Wie7.and at this point said that something would have to be done as the wiring-was in a precarious state and he was getting complaints about the circuits in the basement. It Trras moved by Mr. 'Whiting, seconded by Mr. Oatess, that the basement be re-sired and the ceiling put in the Town Ha11 Basement.
