Mr. Oatess questioned their worth, as various pieces of land that he was <br />familiar with had been cut up and did not appear on the maps. Mr. Oatess <br />referred specifically to the Tahite property and asked for some explanation <br />of the matter. There was considerable discussion and our Engineer reported <br />that, if the owner did not have such property recorded, it could not be put <br />on a map and no record of such allotment would show at the court house. <br />The Clerk-read..a letter from the Telephone Company answering our <br />request, .for_a reconsideration of the base rate on Wilson l~lills Road East. <br />Mr. Rogers reported that he had moved our Safety Deposit Box from <br />the sixth and Euclid Branch to the Main Office of The Central National Bank. <br />T~°. Edelman reported that he had discovered that the National City <br />Bank of Cleveland had not been designated for rener~al as a village deposit- <br />ory, although securities had beencdleposited protecting our funds and a <br />resolution should be passed retroactive to cover this oversight. Mr. Taylor <br />then introduced resolution No. 281 entitled: °tA Resolution Designating <br />National City Bank of Cleveland a Depository for Village of Mayfield10, <br />which resolution was read to Counoil. <br />It was moved by Mr. Beard, seconded by Mr. Swanson, that the rules <br />of law requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions be <br />suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Swanson,Strater,Taylor,Whiting,Beard & Oatess <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Rules suspended <br />It was moved by Mr. Swanson, seconded by Mr. Taylor, that resolution <br />No. 281 be passed as read. <br />Rol]. Edelman also noted that the Clerk's certificate was filed that <br />the proper securities were deposited by both banks in which Village funds <br />are deposited. <br />Mr. Edelman then reported that notices of assessments were duly <br />published on SOM No. 3, Worton Park, Seneca, and Bonnieview, and that it was <br />now in order to pass a separate assessment ordinance far each water main. <br />I'?r. Inlhiting, introduced Ordinance No. 501 <br />entitled: 1°An Ordinance to Levy Special Assessments for the Imps^ovement of <br />SCi~I Center Road in the Village of Mayfield, Ohio, beginning with the I~orth <br />line of the Boa,'d of Education Property and extending Northerly about 1801 <br />feet, but to the South Line of a 22 acre parcel of land now or formerly <br />owned by Jessie H. Worts, being approximately 2257 feet~North from the <br />center line of Wilson Mi17.s Road irz the Village of Mayfield by construction <br />of a water main_and appurtenances therein", which ordinance was read to <br />4. <br />
