Mayor, Eridress then read a letter fs°om Kenneth Nash .of Van. Akers, <br />Whiting, Arnold and Nash, enclosing a copy of H. J. R. No0.5 regarding the <br />creation of subdistricts in Cuyahoga County for the election of State Senators <br />and Representatives. He asked that Council be urged to.give it their support <br />and mail to the various members of the legislature, their copy of a resolution <br />on .the mattero Mr. Oatess.then introduced resolution No. 280 entitled= "A <br />Resolution Commending the House and Senate of the Ohio State Legislature in <br />their proposal to amend Article XI of the Constitution of the-State of Ohio <br />to provide for dividing Cuyahoga bounty into subdivisions for election of <br />Senators and Representatives", which resolution was read to Council. It was <br />moved by ~Ir. H. Hall of Highland Road, commending <br />our Police Department and Service Department for. their excellent service in <br />his time of .need during a wind storm. . <br />Mayor Endress sported that he had attended a turnpike meeting in <br />L~mdhurst, at which all Mayors were present. He reported that Lyndhurst was <br />upset and trying to encourage all mayors to~go_to-.Columbus and sit with the <br />governor and hear their story. As far as Mayor Endress was able to determine, <br />the present location would be about even with the Catholic Parish and the <br />Golf Course and was being encouraged by Mr. Albert Porter and Proctor Noyes, <br />who wished to get it closer to.Town. <br />Mayor Endress reported that he had a call from some one in the Village <br />representing the Aintree Development - the first to be along SOM Center and the <br />question .was raised as to_the impact. on our existing sewer of a. development <br />of 110 homese He was afraid this would overload the sewer and injectors to <br />a point that would make them inoperable. Otxr"Engineer reported that .the <br />County Sewer Project had been stalled by the ]20 objections submitted S.ri writing <br />and would probably be two or more~years.in getting under wa~r® A great deal of <br />discussion was had by Council on this matter and our Engineer was asked to <br />report at the next meeting. on whether it would be dangerous to allow any more <br />connections into this sewer. At the same time he was asked to look up the assess- <br />ments. on the Wilson NI~.s Setirer and see if Aintree Park had been assessed at the time <br />of its construction. <br />Our Engineer then presented the new numbering and zoning maps which <br />his department had been working on.
