introduced Ordinance No. 509, entitled: ~fAn Emergency Ordinance Determining to Proceed with the Improvement of I-~.ghland Road in the Village of Ma.yfi_eld, Ohio, from the Westerly Line of the Village of T~layfi.eld in an Easterly Direction to the Westerly line of SOM Center Road by the construction of a Water Main and Appurtenances therein", which orclinance was read to Council. It eras moved by Mr. Beard, seconded by Mr. Taylor, that the rules of law requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. Edelman repot°ted that he had received but one bid for the sale of our 4~?~8,650.00 bond issue for water mains on four streets. This bid from Seasongood and ~jayer of Cincinnati, was for 3-1/!~ paying par and giving a prenrium of X38.95. A check of good faith acco~-npanied the bid. Mr. Edelman felt that this tras a very good bid inasmuch as Bedford also advertising and receiving three bids was low at 3®1/li.~. Any local bid at this tame would have been 3-1~2~. ~ - I'~r. Swanson, seconded by Mr. Strater, then introduced resolution No. 286- entitled: "A Resolution Accepting the Highest Bid for ~~.8,650.00 of Special Assessment Bonds upon the lotirest rate of interest bid by a responsible bidder", which resolution was read to Council. - It was moved by Mr. Taylor, seconded by r~r. Beard, that the rules of law requiring a resolution to b e read on three separate occasions be suspended. Motion carried • Resolution passed T'Iayor Endress then asked about the Ordinance -on ice boxes which Mr. Fdelmau was to have ready. Mr. Edelman reported that the state was consider- ing abill covering this and it would be best to wait and adopt the state statute. 1 1 1 2.
