~Zr. ~ioffman was asked to submit a written request for improverr~nt <br />of the road to ,the Zoning and Planning Committee who would then meet and <br />discuss the matter._ Mr. Hoffman suggested that they look at all five streets <br />in the area involved,. namely: North W®odlarie, Norman, South Woodlane~ <br />Woodlane and Worton Park Drive.. _ <br />Tyr. George Feldner of x.196 West .9th Street, representing the Redifer <br />Bus Line, stated that_he held two options on the Weisberg property and had <br />secured a real estate firm to take over the land portion of the property and <br />improve it, putting 3n a concrete drive to the barn, and asked Council to <br />cal].. a public hearing to re-zone this property for a~bus terminal. l~kr. Ede]man <br />stated that a bus terminal had been put 3n. a' special pei~nvt class, and the <br />matter should go before the. Zoning and Planning Commission who would set a <br />date for a public hearing. ~'lr: Swanson then set July 25, 1955, for- this <br />hearing. ~ . <br />It was moved by I'lr. Swanson, seconded by Tlr. Oatess, that Council <br />have a,special meeting immediately after this hearing to consider the <br />recommendation of the Zon.in~ Committee. <br />Roll Call: Ayes -Messrs Swanson, Taylor' Beard, Oa.tess. <br />°_ Nays - Nkre Strater <br />T°lotion carrri..ed <br />The Clerk then brought out the fact that the Au,cL~.tor had deducted <br />X55.31 from our tax monies which was the entire cost of the Audit of the <br />Union Cemetery. Mr. Taylor at the same time presented the budget of the <br />Cemetery, calling for.~270.80 from each village. After considerable <br />discussion, it was moved by Mr. Strater, seconded by ter. Beard, that we give <br />tl~e Cemetery ~170.y2. and that I`jr. Taylor add the cost of the audit to each <br />ViLage in his request to Highland. Heights and Hayfield Heights. <br />Roll Call: Ayes --I''lessrs Swanson, Strater, Taylor, Beard & Oatess. <br />Nays -None. . <br />' Motion carried <br />Mr. Russell, the president of the School Board, being present, Council <br />'re-opened their discussion of the Washington Park Extension. Tt was brought <br />out in this discussion that the road itself could ~ black-topped for about <br />,3500.00 for the 2~ feeta Mr. Russell said there was a possibility of <br />extending the road all the way to Wilson Mi11s and opening the property to.the <br />west of the road for~ovement and suggested some sort of conmiittee to <br />contact the people along Zander Road as to their fee7.ings in the matter.
