Council then discussed a raise of salaries for the adm~siistrative <br />boc~y~, suggesting X1,200.00 for the Clerk, X800.00 for the Mayor, ~z75.00 <br />for the Treasurer and X5.00 per meeting for Couneilo After confirmation from <br />the finance committee, ~ Mr. Oatess, seconded by Mr.. Wh3.ting, introduced <br />ordinance No. 515 erita.tl.ed~ r'An Ordinance to Repeal Ordinance No. 380 <br />and Fixing the Compensation and Bonds of the Elected Officers and the <br />Compensation of the Members of Council of the ~iLage9 which Ordinance was <br />read to Council, <br />Tt Baas moved by Mr. Beard, seconded by Mr. Taylor, that the rules <br />of law requiring an c~rdinaxice_ to be read on thrne sepa~°ate occasions be <br />suspended. <br />Roll Ba11p Ayes -Messrs Taylor, Strater, Beard, T~ihit3.ng and Oatess. <br />Nays -None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by dlr. Taylor, seconded by Mr. Strater, that Orclinanoe <br />No. 515 be approved and passed as read. . <br />Roll Call,: Ayes -Messrs Taylor, Strater, Beard, ~Jhiting and Oatess. <br />Nays -None. <br />Motion carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />'The Clerk presented Council with an estimate of income and a budget <br />for 1956® It was moved by Mr, Strater, seconded by r2r. Beard, that the <br />proposed budget be, accepted and passed as read. <br />Roll. Call: Ayes -Messrs ^laylor, Strater, Beard, whiting and Oatess. <br />°. Nays -None. <br />' Motion Carried <br />Mayor Sheehan of Highland Heights addressed Council and asked for <br />their consideration in sharing in the construction of a water maa.n in wander <br />Road, which lies jointly in the two villages: Mayor Sheehan said that-.the <br />Engineer s Estimated X2,500.00 for each vilJ.age share made it a small. job <br />which Highland Heights would like to see started as soon as possible. Mayor <br />Sheehan hoped that this could be handled tritia the saz~ mutual. dispatch as <br />the traffic light on Lander and Wilson Mills Road. As our pillage is running <br />close to its assessment limit for this year, Tyr. Edelrnarr. could not give <br />Council an assurance that the work could be undertaken. After considerable <br />discussion, °it was left to the Clerk aril, Mr. Edelman to scan the situation <br />and report the exact figure of our debt ~;mitation if possible. <br />It was moved by Mr. Taylor, seconded by Mr. Strater, that the Village <br />pay half the cost of the new summer uniforms now being worn by our police <br />department. <br />Roll Call.: Ayes -Messrs Taylor, Strater, Beard, Whiting and Oatess. <br />.
