Swanson, seconded by Mr. Beard, that Ordinance <br />No. 518 be approved and passed as read® <br />Roll Ca11s Ayes -Messrs Taylor, Strater, Swanson, Beard & Oatess. <br />_ Nays -None. <br />Motion carried <br />Ordinance passed <br />A's the East Ohio Gas Co. had requested approval of construction <br />of a gas main and service between the sidewalk and curb on the South side of <br />Thornapple ~7rive as indicated on ,their map, it was moved by Mr. Oatess, <br />seconded by.Mr. Beard, that this approval be granted subject to property <br />owners' consen:t.. <br />Roll Call: Ayes ®Messrs Taylor,Strater,Swanson,Beard & Oatess. <br />Nays -None. <br />Motion carried <br />The Clerk then read a letter from Zeppelmier's Atlantic and the <br />Texaco Gas-Stations withdrawing their discount on gas due to the fact that <br />we had bought tires outside the village and had the police car repaired by <br />other than these two stations. Mr. Rogers said that he felt that, this was in <br />effect holding a club over council's head for the purpose of securing a <br />discount on gas.
