Strater, that <br />Resolution.No. 308 be approved and passed as, rzad. <br />Ro11 Ca11: Ayes - Messrs St~ranson,Stral;er,Taylor,Brown,Beard <br />and Oatess. <br />Nays - None. , <br />Motion carried <br />Resolution passed <br />Mr, Strater reported that the Police Department were the proud <br />possessors of a riot gun donated by some one in the village and wished to <br />carry it as part of the equipment in the police car. This would necessitate <br />a gun lock and the committee recommended that one be purchased. This would <br />cost ~p27.50. It was moved by l~r. Strater, seconded by Mr. Beard, that the <br />Police Department purchase a gun lock for the police car. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Swanson,Strater,Taylor,Brown,Beard & Oatess. <br />Ayes - None. . <br />Motion carried <br />Mr. Strater stated that, as it had been the custom in the past to <br />pay one half the cost of police uniforms, and as the members of the police <br />department were in need of overcoats, and the committee felt that our <br />Police Department should be presentable and dressed alike, ,the committee <br />recommended paying one half the cost of four overcoats, which would cost <br />between 30 and 35 dollars each. <br />It z~ras moved by Tyr. Mr. Strater. then reported that sometime in the past Council, had <br />appropriated X100.00 for material to erect cupboards in the Fire Station. <br />These cupboards had never been built and the committee would recommend re- <br />approp_riating money for this purpose. Mr. Strater stated that he had <br />,personally investigated this matter and as we had such an excellent fire <br />station, it trould be wise to keep i-t in proper shape. <br />1 <br />2. <br />
