Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Swanson, Strater, Taylor, Brown, Beard and Oatess. A1ays - None. Motion carried Rules suspended It was moved by Mr. Swanson; seconded by rrTr. Strater, that Resolution.No. 308 be approved and passed as, rzad. Ro11 Ca11: Ayes - Messrs St~ranson,Stral;er,Taylor,Brown,Beard and Oatess. Nays - None. , Motion carried Resolution passed Mr, Strater reported that the Police Department were the proud possessors of a riot gun donated by some one in the village and wished to carry it as part of the equipment in the police car. This would necessitate a gun lock and the committee recommended that one be purchased. This would cost ~p27.50. It was moved by l~r. Strater, seconded by Mr. Beard, that the Police Department purchase a gun lock for the police car. Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Swanson,Strater,Taylor,Brown,Beard & Oatess. Ayes - None. . Motion carried Mr. Strater stated that, as it had been the custom in the past to pay one half the cost of police uniforms, and as the members of the police department were in need of overcoats, and the committee felt that our Police Department should be presentable and dressed alike, ,the committee recommended paying one half the cost of four overcoats, which would cost between 30 and 35 dollars each. It z~ras moved by Tyr. Swanson, seconded by 'Mr. Strater, that the Village pay one-half the cost of overcoats for the Police Department. Mr. Strater. then reported that sometime in the past Council, had appropriated X100.00 for material to erect cupboards in the Fire Station. These cupboards had never been built and the committee would recommend re- approp_riating money for this purpose. Mr. Strater stated that he had ,personally investigated this matter and as we had such an excellent fire station, it trould be wise to keep i-t in proper shape. 1 2.
