It was moved by Ms°. Oatess,~seconded by Mr.. Strater, that W100.00 <br />be appropriated for material'to build cupboards in the Fire Station. These <br />cupboards to be built by the firemen. <br />Ro11 Call: Ayes - Messrs Swanson,Strater,Taylor,Brown,Beard & Oatess. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Mr. Strater than reported that Mayor Endress had tizrred over to the <br />committee for investigation the matter of garbage disposals. The Committee <br />had taken careful consideration of all factors in the case~and at this time <br />wished to turn the matter over to the Zoning and Planning Commission for <br />study and to our solicitor for a study of its legal aspects. <br />Mr. Strater reported that he..had studied the need for some more <br />street lights and wished to presexzt the Finance Committee with their <br />findings for further study. _ <br />Mr. Strater reported that the Safety and Service Committee had <br />planned an Educational program for the Village with a motion picture <br />covering many aspects of the safety and service and several Government <br />pamp121ets were available, but we would have to pay the postage. Mr. <br />Strater said the Committee would appreciate an appropriation for postage. <br />It iaas moved by Mr. Oatess, seconded by Mr. Taylor, that the clerk <br />make a note of this and include it in next year's budgeto <br />Ro11 Call: Ayes - Messrs Swanson, Strater,Taylor,Brotm,Beard & Oatess. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Mayor Endress then asked for a report from the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission. Mr, Swanson, reporting, stated that~the Commission had met on. <br />Thursday, but the Secretary had not furnished him with the minutes. However, <br />several parties. who had come before the commission were present and he tirould <br />like Council to look over their plats. As none of these plats had been <br />presented to our engineer, Council could take no action but spent over•an <br />hour looking over these plans and discussing them with the builders. <br />Mayor Endxess than asked for a report from the Finance Committee. <br />Mr. Taylor, reporting, stated that his committee recommended that the 5'~~..000.00 <br />borrowed from the General Fund should now be returned, inasmuch as the double <br />assessment on Wilson Mi11s_.Road had cleared up the deficit. ' <br />_ Mrs Taylor, seconded by Mr. Strater, then introduced Resolution No. <br />309 entitled, ."A Resolution Authorizing the Transfer of 5~Zl.'000.00 from the <br />Special Assessment Bond Retirement Fund to the General Fund", which resol- <br />ution was read to Council.
