Tyr. Hardman introduced Ordinance T1o. 343 entitled " ~ <br />Ordinance to Purchase a Police Automobile", which ordinance eras road to <br />the Council. It was moved by Mrs. Cass, seconded by fir. Edelman read a letter dated February 18, 1950, received <br />from the lavr firm of Sehulist,Rosenthal, Roesch & Creation, complaining <br />about an accumulation of debris on property on the Northerly side of Seneca <br />Road, et the rear of Leppelmeirts Gasoline Station. Il4ayor SUranson stated <br />that he would like to_see Council take some action. Iurr. Edelman pointed <br />out that if the accumulation eras in violation of an ordinance the responsible <br />party could be arrestod and fined. A general discLtssiori was had by the <br />Council and it was concluded that an attompt should be made by tho ~Zayor <br />and Police Department to clear up the situation under existing ordinances, <br />and to call_the ovrners in for conference before instituting other <br />proceedings. <br />P~Ir. Godfrey complained concerning lack of enforcemant of the <br />Village dog ordinanee.~ ll'fayor Swanson. read a letter from the dog yrarden <br />of Cuyahoga County stating that, due to lack of authority, the county <br />would not be in a position to pick up dogs within the village limits <br />after December 27, 1949. ~4ayor Stivanson said that no warrants had been <br />issued for ovuners of dogs but that if things get too bad this vrill have to <br />be doneo <br />112r. Edelman discussed the need for a. resolution governing <br />access to tho safe deposit box. Adoption of Resolution No. 167 entitled: <br />"Resolution Authorising the Rental of a Safo Deposit Bor. from Central <br />TJational Bank of Cleveland," was moved by blr. .Godfrey, and seconded by <br />T+~rs.
