After discussion concerning the building code, 114r. Taylor <br />introduced Ordinance No. 344 on•titled: "An Ordlinance to Amend Sec. 22 of <br />Ordinance PTo. 86 Entitled 9An Ordinance Creating the Office of Inspector <br />of Buildings, Defining the_Duties and Pwrers of Such Inspector,.Regulating <br />the_Construction of Building Within the Village of Mayfield, Repealing <br />Ordinance I`To. 10, Entitled °An Ordinance Creating the Office of Inspector <br />of Building, Defining the Duties and Powers of such Inspector, and <br />Regulating the Construction of Building within the Village of Mayfield', <br />a'nd Declaring an Emergency', Relating to Time Limits of Pexmits~t' which <br />vras given its first reading to the Council. _ <br />Mayor Swanson presented to Council the bond submitted by :J. T.4. <br />Stanard in the amotuat of $1,000.00 as Justice of the Peace. It was moved <br />by Mr. Godfrey, seconded by Mrs. Cass, .that the bond be approved. <br />Roll Call: Ayes- Messrs Hardman, Seheuring,Taylor,Godfrey & Cass. <br />Nays- None. <br />i~ioti on Carried <br />Bond Approved. <br />Mayor Swanson read a letter from the Adjutant Generalps Office, <br />State of Ohio, requesting suggestions for appointment of a Chief Supervisor <br />of the Air Observatior_ Posts in the Village. The names of Al Schoenberg, <br />Jake Grootegood and Arthur Otis wero_submitted. <br />~iayor Swanson read the axu~ual reports for 1949 of 'the Police <br />Department and the Clerk of the Mayor's Court. He also read the first two <br />monthly reports for 1950 of the police department and of the Clerk of the <br />Mayorf s Court, then read the first ttivo monthly fire reports for 1950, <br />Tho Fire Chief addressed Council concerning fire department <br />assistance to Villages z^rith which we have no mutual aid contracts. H® <br />suggested that these Villages be charged X100.00 per fire plus X3.00 for <br />each maxi in attendance at the fired Aftex s~.e discussion Mr. Scheui~ing <br />introduced an Ordinance No. 345, entitled: " An Ordinance Providing for <br />Charges for Use of the Fire Fighting Equipment and Firemen in Responding <br />to Fire Calls in Municipalities and Toumships Not Covered by Mutual Aid <br />Contracts with the Village of 114ayfield and Providing Compensation for the <br />Volunteer Firemen in Such Cases," which ordinance was read to Council. <br />It vras moved by Tars. Cass, seconded by Tarr.
