Th~ pr~po ed bud et for 1953 was read by the Clerk. Based on an approxi.ma e ~ ,00'000 ~ax valuation, it will be necessary to have a ~. mill levy for operating expenses, outside of the 10 mi71 limitation® The meeting was open for general discussion. It was noted that it would be necessary to increase the budget to include the additional cost of a new Service Truck, since the 1-1~2 mill voted on in 1-,he special election July 1 did not carry. The Pdayfield Cemetery will also have to pay the expenses of the Wilson IvTills r~Tater Main going by the property. This wi7.1 be divided among the three vi.7lages maintaining the cemetery, but will entail an additional expense of approximately X500.00. This amount should also be included in the budget. Dr..Vdaltz stated that a notice should be issued to all of the citizens showing the financial condition of the Village, with the hope that they will respond in favor of the ~ Mill levy at the Fa17_ election. Mr. Endress introduced Resolution AIo. 205, entitled: ~~ A Resolution Authorizing a Four (!~) Mill Levy for Two Years for Payment of Current Expenses for the Tax Duplicate Years 1952 and 1953' which Resolution was read to Council. It was moved by Dr. Waltz, seconded by P,gr. Sloan, that the rules of law requiring a Resolution to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. Roll Call: Ayes - u~Taltz, Sloan, Endress, Cass and Oatess. Nays - None. Motion Carried Rules Suspended It was moved by NIr. Endres, seconded by Mrs. Cass, that Resolution No, 205 be passed as read. - Ro71 Call: Ayes - ~4essrs Waltz, Sloan, Endres, Cass & Oatess. Nays - None. - Motion Carried Resolution Passed It was moved by I~'[r. Sloan, seconded by Dr. ~~daltz, that the budget be approved as read, after-the above mentioned additions were made.
