Motion Carried Resolution Passed - Resolution No•. 207 entitled: "An Emergency Resolution Declaring the Necessity of Authorizing and Directing-the Village Engineer to Prepare Plans, Specifications a,nd Estimates of Cost of a 12" ~rvater Main iri SOM Center Road From the Existing Water Main at the North Line of the Board of Education Property Approximately I~20 Feet North of Wilson P~Zills Road, in a Northerl,; Direction to a Point 130 Feet North of Thornapple Drive" was introduced by Dr. U'daltz which Resolution was read to Council. St was•moged by Dr. 1'daltz, seconded by Mr. Endress, that the rules of law requiring a Resolution to be read on•three separate occasions be suspended. Roll Call: Ayes - Waltz, Sloan, Endress, Cass and Oatess. Nays - None. - It4otion Carried Rules Suspended It was moved by Dr. U"daltz, seconded by Mr.Endress, that Resolution No. 207 be passed as read. _ Roll Call: Ayes - Vifaltz, Sloan, Endress, Cass and-Oatess. Nays - None. Motion Carried Resolution Passed It was moved by Mr. Sloan, seconded by Mrs. Cass that the Clerk notify all property owners that Ordinance Ido. 108 will be given its third reading at a Public Hearing to be held at 9:00 P. Tll. on August 18, 1952, during the regular meeting of Council. Citizens should be urged to attend. Roll Ca71: Ayes - waltz, Sloan, Endress, .Cass and Oa.tess. Nays - None. 1!Ilotion Carried Dr. bYaltz suggested that a Public Relations Committee be formed, and that an individual ( not an elected official) be appointed to present Council-actions to the citizens, in order to better acquaint the citizens of the things Council is trying to do to improve the comrmn;ty. Dr. Waltz moved that this suggestion be presented to the Mayor for his consideration. Mrs. Cass seconded the motion. Roll Call: Ayes - U~Valtz, Sloan, Endress, Cass and Oatess. Nays - None. Motion Carried The minutes of the Safety and Service Committee meeting held on July 1~., 1952, were read by the acting Mayor. The Firemen now receive X3.00 for each fire call that they - ansvrer, regardless of the length of time involved. The Committee suggests to Council that the Firemen receive 93.00 for the first hour of the fire call, and d~1.00 for each additional hour, wehther it be in or outside of the Village. ~.
