Mayor Swanson read a communication from Joseph C. Kessler. Mr. Kessler is now with the Cleveland Police Department,. but wishes to start a business of repairing and servicing Police radios, Police and Fire Equipment. His charges .would be .120.00 per year for each mobile police unit plus parts, and X72.00 per year for each mobile fire unit plus parts. The cost of parts and repairs to our equipment this year was far below this amount. Mr. Scheuring entered the meeting. Mayor Swanson read a letter from Mx. and Mrs. T. H. Thrush regardling the care aad maintenance of the tree lawn on their property which faces on Glenview Road. The lawn is cut up badly_from~people parking on it, and also from cutting into the side street too quickly. It was moved by Dr, Waltz, seconded by Mr. Sloan, that this matter be referred to the Safety Committee, along with the problem of speed limit signs for this side street, along with the other side streets in the Village. The Committ@e was asked to make a recommendation at the next regular meeting. Roll Call: Ayes -.Waltz, Sloan, Scheuring, Cass and Oatess. Nays - None. Mr. Slow was.asked to further check into this matter and make a_ report at the next meeting of Council.. Dr. Waltz introduced Ordinance No. ~2l~; entitled: "An Ordinance Authorizing the Mayor and the Clerk .on Behalf of the Village of Mayfield to Enter into a Contract with B. ~Tatol for Payment for Furnishing. certain Extra Iteans Required in the Construction of a Water Main in SQM Center Road from Wilson Mills Road to the South Corporation Linen which Ordinance was read to Council. It was moved by Mr. Sloan, seconded by Mrs. Cass, that the rules of law requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended.
