The chairs recommended for use with this table were priced at either X39.30, or .$~51.OO,.each. Council discussed the prices briefly, and felt that they were out of question at this time. -It was decided to let the matter rest, and to look into the possibilities of picking up some used.furniture, or of having a table made using flush- doors. _ There has been nothing definite-done regarding the water main in S.O.M. Road from the Board of Education, north to an agreed stopping point. The first point was to be 130' north.:of.Thornapple.Drive; however some residents just beyond this point had asked..to.have.,it,extended to include their property. After some discussion. it was felt it_wou].d not be advisable to take it either begond.the,north.or south line of George ~forts~. property. He reported that the Fire Departanent has approximately 500' of 3/!~°f fire hose which they have used but have no more use for ..since the purchase of the new hose. He felt he could sel]. it -for. 25¢. per foot or , perhaps a little. more., but wanted the approval of .Council. ~before.gong..ahead. Councel felt it advisable to sell the hose at the best possible price and the money to go into the Safety . Fund.
