Dr. Waltz introduced Resolution No. 218 entitled: "A Resolution <br />Appointing a Board to Report the Estimated Assessments to Pay the Costs and <br />Expenses of Improv~.ng S.O.M. Center Road From the Center Line of Wilson <br />Mi11.s Road Southerly to the South Corporation Line of the Village of Mayfield, <br />Ohios" which Resolution was read too Council. <br />It was moved by Mr. Sloan, seconded by l~drs. Cass, that the rules of <br />law requiring a resolution to be read on.three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Calls Ayes - Waltz, Sloan, Endress, Scheuring,Cass & Oatess. <br />Nays. - None. <br />Tt was moved by Mr. Endres, seconded by Mr. Scheuring, that Resolution <br />No. 218 be passed: as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Waltz, Sloan, Endres., Scheuring, Cass & Oatess. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Passed <br />Mr. Edelman stated that the assessments are no~a-in order for the <br />Wilson Mills Road and S.O.M. Road, Section 1 water mains. The property <br />owners have until June 7, 1953 to file protest on the assessment cost. They <br />also have 30 days after to pay up the cost in full if they so desire, in <br />order to save interest. <br />Mayor Swanson read a. letter from the East Ohio Gas Company requesting <br />approval to install a gas line from Ridgebury Blvd. to the west corporation <br />line of the ~illage, which is dust across Lander Road. <br />Tt was moved by Mrs. Cass, seconded by Dr. Waltz, that approval be <br />granted the Gas Company. <br />Roll Cal].: Ayes - Waltz, Sloan, Endress, Scheuring, Cass & Oatess <br />Nays - None <br />Motion Carried <br />The Clerk was able to obtain a used table for Council, from The <br />South Euclid Savings & hoar C®mpar;y. She was given a vote of thanks for <br />obtaining the table, and Mr. Wieland a vote of thanks for transporting the <br />table to the Village Hall. <br />The installation of the new l.~.ghts and vairing in the Hall has now been <br />completed, and the lights in the main auditorium were lit for Councilts <br />r. observation. It is a great improvement over the old lighting system. A <br />'sample of the old ~riring was passed around for inspection, and it is very <br />fortunate that we have not had to collect on the fire insurance policy. <br />Pay Ordinance No. 358-P was read by the Clerk® <br />It wa.s moved by Mr. Sloan, seconded by Dr. Waltz, that the Pay <br />Ordinance be passed as read... <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Waltz, Sloan, Endress, Scheuring, Cass & Oatess. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed 3. <br />
