Mrs. Cass introduced Ordinance No.. ~.1~5 A entitled: «An Emergency Ordinance Determining to Proceed with the Improvement of S.O.M. Center Road in the Village of Mayfield, Ohio, Starting at the North End of the Existing Water Main Now Located in S.0.11~. Center Road and Extending Northerly About 1801 Feet, But to the South Line of a 22 Acre Parcel of Land Now or Formerly Owned by Jessie H. 'Norts, Being Approximately 2257 Feet North From the Center Line of Wilson Mills Road, by the Construction of a ~Yater Main and Appurtenances Thereinet9 which .Ordinance was read to Council. It was moved by ~. Sloan, seconded by ~. Endress, that the rules of law requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. - Roll Call: Ayes - Waltz, Sloan, Endress, Cass & Oatess. Nays - None. Motion Carried Rules Suspended It was moved by Mr. Oatess, seconded by Dr. Waltz, that Ordinance No. t~45 A be passed as read. , Roll Call: Ayes - Waltz, Sloan, Endress, Cass & Oatess. Nays - None. • Motion Carried Ordinance Passed It will be necessary to advertise for bids for the water main construction for S.O.M.. ~3, and ti°lorton Parls Drive, and this should be before the next regular meeting. It was moved by Mrs. Cass, seconded by Dr. Waltz, that a special meeting of Council be held on Thursday evening, October 1, 1953, at 8:00 P. M. at the Village Hall to consider the bids received, and. that the proper officials be authorized to advertise for bids. Roll Call: Ayes - Waltz, Sloan, Endress,. Cass & Oatess. Nays- None, - Motion Carri ed There was considerable discussion about the situation regarding Bonnieview Road. The property owners are complaining about the condition of the road, but it will still be several weeks before the water main can possibly be started. Council felt it might be a wise idea to post several signs: ~~Travel At Your Own Ra.sk~t which should warn the traffic of the condition of the road. Mayor Swanson read a letter from The East Ohio Gas Compar~p asking permission to 'proceed with the proposed construction of gas main and service between the sidewalk and curb on the South side of Bonnieview Road, East of S.O.M. Road as indicated on Drawing No. D-2766. It was moved by Mr. Sloan, seconded by Mrs. Cass, that the East Ohio Gas Company be granted permission to proceed. 2.
