Mr. Edelman maintained <br />that this was not a sufficient argument to influence the bid. Council at this <br />point turned to ofher things to give Mr. S trater a chance to examine the speci- <br />fications of the bids more thoroughly. Mrm Eaedler., reporting for the Zoning and Planning Connnission, said that <br />they had met on Tuesdav, June 2nd, 19599 with all members present and after due <br />notice ard a public hear3.ng to consider an amendment to the'Zoning Ordinance, had <br />unanimously adopted aresolution approving,Ox°dinance 656 wit.h a slight change in <br />section l. Or°dinanca 656, "A.n Ordinance to Amend the Zoning Ordinance of the <br />Village of Mayiield by Transferring 100 feet of Frontage on both sides of Wilson <br />Mi11s Road to a U-4 Use District", and placed on its first reading at the P4ay 1$, <br />1959, Council Meeting' was then read to Council by Mr. Edelman. <br />I-t was then moved by Mro Wedler, seconded by Mrs. Brown' that the rules <br />of law requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Calls Ayes - Messrs. Zorn,T?'edler,Strater,Brown,Grootegood & Hopkinso <br />Nays - Nonee - <br />Motion carried <br />Rules suspended <br />It was moved by Mro Hopkins9 seconded by Mrs. Brown, that Ordinance No. <br />656 be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Callo Ayes - Messrse Zoxn,Wedler,Strater'Brown,Grootegood & Hopkins. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried. <br />Ordinance passed. <br />Mayor Endress then asked Mr. 3'etzrson about the bids for paving-> <br />Mr. Peterson repbrted that he had two bids; one from the Pioneer Pav.ing fox°. <br />$39,203.40 and one from the Northern Ohio Paving Company for $309551.00o The <br />Sensca bid was f or $9,672.00; Bonnieview $11062.00; and Gleriview 49,517.00. <br />This would be about $3.00 per front foot for Seneca and Glenview and.$3.50 for <br />Bonnieview. Mr. Peterson said that this was a much lower bid than he had hoped <br />for: - Mz°. Hopkins, seconded by Mr. Wedler, then introduced Ordinance No. 665 <br />entitled, "An Ordinance Authorizing the Mayor and the Clerk of the Village of <br />Mayfield to Fnter into a Contract with Northern Ohio Paving Compau,y for the <br />Grading, D3tching and Paving of Seneca Road, Glenvieii Road and Bonnieview Roads <br />with Asphaltic Materials", which ond3nance was read to Council. <br />It was moved by Mrs. Brown, seconded by Mz°. Grootegood, that the rules of <br />la-w requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended, <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs.
