' <br />Mo-tion carried <br />Resolution passed <br />Mayor Endress then said that it t,ias time to take up the inatter for whieh <br />the meeting had been cal3ed and Mr. Edelman reported that the Assessmenf,s for S OM <br />No. 5 had been advertised and it was naw time to pass an assessment ordinancee <br />Mr. Hopkins, seconded by Mr. S tratex°, then introduced Ordinance No. 668 entitled, <br />'lAn Ordinance to Levy Special Assessments for the Imnrovemen-t of SOM Center Road <br />i.n the Village of Ma.yfield, Ohio from Highland Road in a Southerly Direction 2650 <br />feet to the Existing water mair by the construction of a water main and appurten- <br />ances therein", which ordinance-?was read to Council. <br />It was moved by Ms°. Strater, seconded by Mr. Zorn, that the rules of law <br />requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs. Zorn.,Strater,Brown,Grootegood and Hopkins. <br />' Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Rules suspended <br />Tt was moved by Mr. Strater, seconded by Mr. Hopkins, that c3x°dinance No. <br />668 be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayss - Messrs. Zorn,S trater,Brown,Groofi,egood and Hopkins. <br />Nays - None. <br />Mot?on carried <br />' Ordinance passed <br />Mr. Edelman then reported that we would have_to have a special meeting <br />to pass a bond ordinance and Council set August b at 8;30 P.M. for this meeting. <br />Mr. Edelman then read a letter from Mra Quigley's attorney, suagesting <br />a cost figure on an armual basis rather than the $2.50 per ton basis. He is to <br />submit a new proposed agreement for the int,erim period. <br />Mro Edelman then read a letter from the County submitting a new con- <br />tract for tkie care of prisoners at $4.25 per day.- Mre Zorn, seconded by Mr. <br />Strater, then introduced Ordinance No. 669 entitled, 'tAn Ordinance Authorizing <br />the Etecution of a Contract with the Board of County Commissioners of Cuyahoga <br />County, Ohio, for the Care of Prisoners Sent to the Cuyahoga County Jail by the <br />Village of Mayfield.tt, whicYi ordinance was read to Council. <br />It was moQed by Mr. Hopkins, seconded by Mr. Grootegood, that the rules <br />of law requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions.be <br />suspended. <br />Roll Call:.Ayes - Messrs.
