` Mayor Endress then said that he had discussed the moving of street <br />lights on SOP2 with Mr. Raymond, who advised that a new contract was coming <br />up in a month and thatwe wait arxl spell aut our wants at that time. <br />The East Ohio Gas Co. having requegted approval of plans covering <br />'proposed construction of gasmains and service between sideUraZks and curbs <br />on the East side of Beech Hill Road,, south'of Seneva ftoad as indicated in red <br />on their print of drawing No. D-6859 dated November 21, 1957, revised August <br />213 1959, and on the East side of Joyce Road from Wil:son Mills Road as <br />indicated in red on their prin,t of drawing No.'D-7786, dated July 31, 1959, <br />and on the west side of Meadowood Drive9 north of Eastgate Drive as indicated <br />in'red on their print of dra'wing No. D-6308, dated December 179 1956, it was <br />moved by Mr. Zorn, seeonded by Mr. Hopkins, that permis5ion be granted <br />subject to property owners consenta ` <br />Ro11 Call; Ayes - Messrs Zorn, tiJedler,S trater,Brawn,Grootegoed & Hopkins. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Mr. Edelman then presented an prdinance from the East Ohio Gas on <br />gas rates and explained t'hat whatever rate was set for Clevelarid would be <br />given to our village. Mr. Edelman said that'he would like to study the <br />ordinance further before taking action. ' . Ion <br />Council then d3scussed the possibility of charg3.ng $5.00' per foot <br />for inspection as they'felt thatsome supervision should be made of Aese <br />installations. No action was taken. <br />Mayor Endress said that at the ].ast meeting he had talkel of shooting <br />the berms on our new pavement project and asked Mr. WedZer., one of the <br />committee on road inspecti.on, to report. Mr. Wedler said that he had been <br />over to inspect these streets, but would suggest that our engineer speak of <br />the mattep. Mr. Peterson said that the contractors had filled in all washed <br />areas., but any material used would run the same way and for the -cost of <br />shooting the berms, it would be well worth it. He then suggested that a thin <br />asphalt, be used, which would penetrate about an inch. <br />Mrs. Brown then.asked if'this was ever ineluded in a contract. Mr. <br />Peterson said not on new streets; that they could not slope the ditches enough <br />on fi,his project' which made the berms rather steep. Mr. Wieland said that, if <br />everyone cooperated in putting in the right mail box construction, the mailman <br />would not have to run on -the berm for deliveries. <br />Mr,.Hopkins, seconded b,y Mr. Wedler, introduced Ordinance No. 672, <br />entitled2-114n Ord.inance Authorizing the Expenditure of not more than $250.00 <br />for the appZieation of Asphalt to the Berms of Seneca Road, BonnieviewRoad., <br />and-Glenview Roadt', which ordinance was read to Council, • <br />It was moved by Mrs. Brown, seconded by Mr. 2orn,,.that the ru.les of law <br />requiringan ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />30
