hiinutes of the Regular Meeting <br />February 15, 1960. <br />The Council of the Village of P4ayfield met in regular meeting at the <br />Town Hall on February 15, 1960, at 8:00 P. M,, 114ayor Endress presiding.? <br />Roll Call: Present - 1-dessrs Zorn,WedleryBrocan and Grootegoed. <br />Absent - Piessrs Bennett and Bel?er. <br />The I+iinutes of the Regular Meeting of January 18, 1960, were then read <br />to Council. It Faas moved by 14rs. Brown, seconded b_y Mr. Grootegoed, that the <br />Minutes of the regular meeting be approved as read. <br />P.oll Call: Ayes - ilessrs Zorn,Wedler•,Brown and Grootegoed. <br />Nays - iVone. <br />niotion carried <br />" rlinutes approved <br />iN3ayor Endress 1:'nen read a letter from Dr, and Mrs. Cass, thanking the <br />Police and Fire- Departriient for their• prompt and ef=icient service in an <br />emergency. They enclosed a check f or both departments: <br />Mr. Edelman then read an ordinance on Drag Racing to Council, Mrs. <br />Brown, seconded by A4r. Grootegoed, then introduced Ordinance iio. 690 en-titled: <br />"An Ordinance to Amend Ordinance No. 309, the Traff ic Crdinance of the Village <br />of Mayf ield, by adding Section 18.1, def ining Drag Racing, prohibiting Drag <br />Racing on the Pnblic Highways and imposing a penalty therefor",=which ordinance <br />was read to Council. Mayor Endress then read a letter from the Keynolds Ford CoMpanST, waiving <br />any righ'ts on their bid for a new truck. <br />Mr. Grootegoed, reportino f or the Safety Conmittee, said that he had <br />investigated the Dodge Truck on one of our bids and found it satisf actory in <br />every respect, Mrs. Brown, seconded by Mr. Grootegoed,,then introduced Ordinance <br />No. 691 entitled: "An Ordinance Accepting the Bid of Zm J. Trotter, Inc, f or <br />the Sale to the Village of tdayfield of a Service Trucl:" iahich ordinance was <br />read to Council: i1r. Edelman then read a letter submitted by the County on an agreement <br />with the village ior,moving of utilities on tiJilson Mi11s.Road. This agreement <br />called for a payment of $9,750.00 by the Village, with the first payment due <br />in February of 1961, with f ive years to pay the entire amount., . , <br />AIr. Peterson reported that there were about 28 lots along Wilson rlills <br />Road not connected to either the sewer or the water and this work should be <br />done before any caidening. There was some discussion of the matter as Council <br />did not see how it could be done without assessing. <br />1.
