Mrm Edelman then talked to these people and said that they should <br />protest legally to be safe and then meet with the County and try and discuss <br />the matter. As one of the residents present had set up a meeting with the <br />County people, other resi dents decided to go along with him and see what <br />came of the meeting before going any f urther. <br />Nlrs. Brown, reporting for the Architectural Board, said that they had <br />approved 5 sets of pla ns at two meetings. <br />Mr. Wedler, reporting for the Zoning and Planning Commission, said <br />that they had met on March 7, 1960; that Mr. Walter Hoag had been appointed <br />Secretary; that Mr,. Harvey Zeman and Mr. Harris of Hyland Homes, Inc, had <br />submitted a preliminary study f or homes and apartments to be constructed on <br />property located North of Wilson Mills Road and West of S.O.M. Center. The <br />Commission went, over these plans and suggested some changes. Mr. Uhlir then <br />submitted a plan f or two lots on the West side of Beech Hill Road. The <br />Commission then reviewed these plans and made recommendations for the two <br />homes to be constructed. <br />There was no report from the Building Committee. <br />. Mr. Grootegoed, reporting for the Safety and Service Committee, said <br />that they had met on March 7, 1960, and recommended that the Village purchase <br />a new police car. Mr. Grootego g3 then read an estimate of the cost of putting <br />one of our cars in shape for service and pointed out that this was a costly <br />proposition and served no good purpose, as the car was depreciating in value <br />at such a great rate. <br />;3rs.
