<br />Minutes of Regular Meeting <br />April 18, 1960 <br />The Council of the Village o= IvIayfield met in regular meeting at <br />the Town Hall at 8:00 P. NT. , ivIayor Fndress presiding. <br />-Roll Cal.l: Present -Messrs Zorn, Wedler, Bennett, Brown, <br />Grootegoed & Belzer; 1vlr, Peterson, Engineer. <br />Absent - None. <br />The 1Tinutes of the Regular Nieeting of hiarch 21, 1960, were then <br />read to Councilm Tt was moved by ivirs. Brown, seconded by 1?1r. Zorn, that the <br />Ninutes of the Regular Iileeting be approved and passed as read." <br />Roll Call; Ayes - Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Belzer <br />1Vays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />P4inutes approved <br />As the Garbage and Rubbish bids had been tabled and turned over to <br />the Saf ety Committee for study, A4ayor Endress asked for a report. Mr. Grootegoed <br />said that he had called iVIayfield Heights and Lyndhurst and found that they were <br />just sitting still; that one suburb was going to try one thing and another <br />suburb something different. b7r. Grcotegoed said that ttie picturs was very' <br />nixed and he couldn•t tell what was going to be-cione by anyone. <br />Mayor Endress then reported that there had been a meetin t <br />Lyndhurst Saturday and through the efforts of Mayor Elbrecht, four coa(mittees <br />had been set up and a neezing arranged with the County on paving of Ridgebury <br />Boulevard, Mayor Endress said that they were going to sit down witp the County <br />and resolve some of the joint problems of Ridgebury Boulevard. Niayor Endress <br />went on to say that he had asked whatthey were going to do about the dump <br />problem and f ound that Elbrecht and Frantz were sort of leaning towaids Sands, <br />1nc. Lyndhurst was also considering a Bond Issue to build an incinerator, arid <br />talked over trucic routes to the incineratore Mayor Endress said that, in the <br />face oz all this, he thought it advisable to reject all bids. <br />tilr. Uledler, seconded by i4r. Belzer, then iri'troduced' a resolution <br />'to rejec-t all bids. <br />It was moved by Mr. Zorn, seconded by Mr. Wedler, that the rules <br />of laia requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Ca13s A,yes: Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Belzer. <br />Nays - Pdone. <br />Motion carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />I.
