Tt was moved by Mrs. Brown, seconded by Mr. Grootegoed, that the <br />P.esolution be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Ziessrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Resolution Passed <br />The Clerk then advised that we had received two bids for a new police car. <br />One bid from Reynolds Ford Sales, Inc. caas for $2010.00 but asked $50.00 for <br />a heavy duty alternator and rectifier which was in our specifications. The <br />other bid from Keith tiJeigle 1?Yotors, Ince ?aas for $2028.01, ?By taking into <br />consideration the alternator and rectifier, the Gleigle ivlotors bid was lowest. <br />Y1rso Brown, seconded by Rir. Belzer, then introduced Ordinance No. 699 <br />entitled: "An Ordinance to Purchase a New Police Automobile", Tahich ordinance <br />was read to Council.' It was moved by A1r. Grootegoed, seconded by NIr. Belze.r, that the rules <br />of law,req_uiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be <br />suspended. <br />Roll Cal1: Ayes - Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Belzere <br />Navs - None, <br />Motion carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by Mr. Wedler, seconded by Mrs. Brown, that Ordinance No. <br />699 be approved and passed as read. , - <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Zorn,Uledler,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Ma,yor Endress then read a letter from the City of Zyndhurst on the paving <br />of Ridgebury Boulevard,which stated tha-t a meeting had been set up for April 21, <br />1960, to meet wiih .the four suburbs. iNIayor Endress then talked with Council <br />about this road and spoke of scari_fying the road. He said that Lyndhurst was in the same boat with the rest; that it was costing too much and -that they <br />were going to take the stand that it was a County Road and the County was <br />responsible. Mayor Endress said that they were going to offer 5%. <br />Mayor Endress then read a letter from Patrolman Doremus, asking to <br />resign f rom the Police Force. Mayor Endress said that he would lilce to accept <br />this resibnation.
