Brown, that the Clerk <br />advertise for bids for a 1961 Fordor Sedan for use by the Police Department, <br />with alternative bid to be suUmitted for the trade-in allowance on the 1959 <br />Ford Station Wagon noiv used by the Police Department. . <br />Ro11 Call: Ayes - Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Belzer. <br />Nays - None, Motion carried <br />There was some discussion as to the recommendation of the Safety & Service <br />Committee that, upon the purchase o£ a Fordor Sedan, the present 1959 Ford <br />Station Wagon noca in the custody of the Police•Department be transferred to <br />the Service Department for use. Mr. Bennett volunteered to get information <br />regarding the cost of used pick-up trucks. <br />Mayor Endress read a letter from Marie Brown, Secretary of Mayf ield <br />Union Cemetery Board of Trustees, setting £orth the budget f or 1960, showing <br />the amount of $293.67 due from the Village of Mayfield as its sharee It <br />was moved by Mr. Belzer, seconded by Mr. Grootegoed, that, in accordance <br />with our 1960 budget,' the Village pay to the Mayf ield-Union Cemetery Trustees <br />the sum of $293.67, - Roll Call: Ayes - Niessrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Belzere <br />Nays - None. Motion carried. <br />Mrse Brown reported that, as the result of court proceedings, the <br />Mayf ield Union.Cemetery obtained about twice the amount f or the land taken <br />along the Wilson Mills Road as the county had atiirst offered. She stated <br />that the Council of the Village of Mayfield, unlike that of the Village of <br />Highland Heights, was most cooperative in the matter, and that the f unds <br />received would be used for beautifying the cemetery. <br />Mrs. Brown, seconded by Mro Grootegoed, then introduced Resolution No. <br />485 entitled: •'A Resolution Requesting the County Auditor to Advance the <br />Sum of $8,000.00 to the Village of Mayfield Out of Current Tax Collections", <br />which resolution was read to Council. It was moved by Mrs. Brown, seconded <br />by Mr. Belzer, that the rules of law requiring a resolution to be read on <br />three separate occasions be suspended. - - <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Zorn9Wedler,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Belzer. <br />Nays - None.
