Engineer Peterson then read to Council copies of correspondence, dated <br />August 19, 1960, between him and C. A. Agresta Construction Company and a <br />letter of the same date from him to the Cuyahoga County Sanitary Engineer, <br />which had to do with exiending the sewer connection stub f or Worton Park Drive <br />at Wilson Mills Road. It was necessary to authorize this to be done.while <br />the County was widening Wilson Mills Road, as otherwise no extension could <br />be made for a period oE f ive years. The Mayor therefore aeted in an emergency <br />and authorized the extension of this sewer. Mr._Bennett, seconded by Mr. <br />Grootegoed, offered a resolution approving the emergency action of Mayor <br />Endress in ordering the extension of the Worton Park Drive sewer at Wilson <br />Mills Road. It was moved by Mr. Zorn, seconded by Mr. Wedler, that the <br />rules of law requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions <br />be suspended. . . <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. , - <br />Motion carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by Mrs. Brown, seconded by Mr. Grootegoed, that the <br />resolution be approved and passed as reade <br />Roll Callo Ayes - Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />. , Resolution Adopted <br />Mr. Edelman presented an Application by the East Ohio Gas Company <br />to extend a gas line on the West side of Kenwood Road. Mr. Peterson said <br />that there seems to be.some question-as-to whether or not this proposed gas <br />line would interfere with the sanitary?sewer. It was moved by Mr. Wedler, <br />seconded by Mr. Grootegoed, that the application of the East Ohio Gas Company <br />be approved, subject to further investigation by the Engineer. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett,Brown,Gr'ootegoed & Belzer. <br />Nays - Noneo <br />. - - • . Motion carried <br />Mr. Edelman reported that an Ordinance had been submitted by the State <br />Highway Department which appeared to contain an agreement that the Village <br />of Mayf ield would pay.for the cost of ,locating Village owned utilities on <br />Wilson Mi11s:Road,and Highland-Road in'connection.with proposed:State Route <br />No. 1. The Mayor said that he had been approached by a State Iiighway official <br />and asked to sign an Agreement to that effect. Mre Peterson said that he <br />had talked to Mr. Henry, State.Highway DiVision Engineer, who said that he <br />was not familiar with this proposed agreement and Mr. Peterson advised that <br />it should not be approved until the matter is satis:Eactorily.explained to us. <br /> <br />9.
