Sedan and a charge of $4,85 f or transfer of title. NIr. Shortle was asked , <br />to check this bid with the specifications and reported that, other than changing <br />the Alternator to a later model, the bids agreed with our specifications. Mrs <br />: <br />Brown, seconded by Mr. Grootegoed, then introduced Ordinance No. 717, entitled. <br />"An Ordinance to Puichase a New Police Automobile", which ordinance was read <br />to Council. <br />It was moved by Mr..Belzer, seconded by Mr.,Bennett, that the rules <br />of law requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Calls Ayes - Messrs Wedler, Bennett, Brown, Grootegoed & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. . <br />Motion carried <br />Rules suspended <br />, 11 It was moved by Mrs, Brown, secanded by Mrr Belzer, that Ordinance <br />No. 717 be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes ? Messrs. Wedler, Bennett, Brown, Grootegoed,,& Belzer. <br />Nays - None. _ <br />Niotion carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Mayor Endress then took up the matter of re-surfacing Thornapple Drive <br />and Robley Lane. Mayor Endress reminded Counci-l that a f ailure to take care of <br />these roads before winter would result in large outlay of money in the Spring. <br />ayor Endress reported that we had received two bids on re-surfacing Thornapple <br />Drive, one from the W., E. Cotleur Construction Co., for $975.00 and, one from <br />The Northern Ohio Paving Company for $850.00. . <br />Mr. Belzer, seconded by Mr. Grootegoed, then introduced Ordinance No. 718, <br />entitled: "An Ordinance Authorizing the Mayor and the Clerk of the Village of <br />Niayf ield to enter into a_Contract With the Northern Ohio Paving Company f or <br />Surf ace Treating of Thornapple Drive", which ordinance was read to Council. <br />_ It was moved by Mrs. Brown, se,conded by Mr. Belzer, that =the rules of <br />law requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Wedler, Bennett, Brown, Grootegoed & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />. .
