Mrs. Brown, seconded by Mr. Belzer, then introduced Resolution No. 487 <br />entitled: "An Emergency Resolution rlemoralizing the Congress of the United <br />States to Investigate the Fixing of Gasoline Prices in the Greater Cleveland <br />Area and to Enact Appropriate Legislation Thereon", which resolution was <br />read to Council. It was moved.by Mrs. Brown, seconded by Mr. Grootegoed, that the rules <br />of law requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions be <br />suspended. Roll Call; Ayes - Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Belzer. <br />Nays - Noneo <br />riotion carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by rlrs. Brown, seconded by Mr. Grootegoed, that Resolution <br />No. 487 be approved and passed as read, ' <br />Roll Ca11; Ayes - Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Rennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. Motion carried <br />Resolution Passed <br />Nir. Bennett then reported that two months ago-Mr. Schwentker had handed <br />a resignation from the Fire Department and wished to?know if Mr. Schwentker <br />was on or off the Fire Department. <br />Niayor Endress said that he was not proposing this resignation for <br />acceptance. Mr. Wedler said that it should be held up until after the meeting <br />in January. M ayor Endress said that he did not think that this was the right <br />reason given for this resignation. Mr. Schwentker said that he would hold up <br />the -resignation until after the meeting. The East Ohio Gas Company having requested approval of plans for proposed <br />construction of gas main and service between sidewalk and curb on the East side <br />if Highland Road from East of Miner Road, Easterly, as indicated in red on the <br />enclosed print of Drawing No. -D-4107, dated March 17, 1953, Revised January 29, <br />1960, and enclosing check f or $60.00 to cover 1200 feet at 5 cents a foot, it, <br />was moved by Mrs. Brown, seconded by Mr. Belzer, that approval be granted, I/ <br />subject to property owner•s consent.
