- c , c c <br />Minutes of Regular Nieeting <br />February 20, 1961 <br />. ? . ? <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in regular meeting at the <br />Town Hall at 8:00 Pt Ni., 4ayor Enoress presidingo . <br />Roll Calle Present - Psessrs Zorn,WedlersBennett,Brown,Grootegoed and <br />Belzer,, and Engineer [deiss. <br />Absent - None, <br />The Minutes of tne Regular meeting of January 16, 1961, were then read <br />to Council. Tt was moved by NIr. Wedlerm seconded by Mre Belzer, that the <br />Minutes of the Regular meeting be approved and passed as read. <br />, .. Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett9Brown,Grootegoed & Belzer. <br />Naps - ,None, <br />Niotion carried <br />? Minntes approved <br />The Niinutes of the Special rieeting of January 23, 1961, were then read <br />to Council. As this meating ioas called to hear charges preferred against <br />Fire Chief Nelson Pprter$ IVir. Bennett objected to the transcript of the trial <br />not being written out in the Minutes. The Clerk explained that this trial <br />covered some fiftp sheets of typewritten material and as Mr. Porter was found <br />not guilty and,one of the f irst ordinances of the Village stated i;hat our <br />Council Nleetings were to be conducted under Roberts Rules of Order, that this <br />was not necessary. Mr. Bennett asked for tapes of this trial, which were <br />late,r turned over to him. It cvas then moved by tdrs. Brown, seconded by Mr. <br />Grootegoed, that the Minutes of the Special Meeting be approved and passed <br />as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes- rYessrs Zorn,Wedler,Brotan,Grootegoed and Belzer. <br />Nays - Mr. Bennett. . t <br />. Mayor Endress then notif ied Council that he had a request f rom <br />Richmond Heights for Police Niutual Aid. <br />Mrs. Brown; seconded by Mro Belzer,.then introduced Ordinance No. 733, <br />entitled: "An Ordinance Providing for an Agreement With the City of Richmond <br />Hei,ghts f or Mutual Police Protection", whieh ordinance was read to Council. <br />It was moved by Mro Wedler, seconded by Nir. Zorn, that the rules of <br />law requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />1. <br />,
