-Minutes of the Regular Meeting <br />` June 19, 1961 <br />„ . , <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in regular meeting at the <br />Town Hall at 8:00 P. Mo, Niayor Endress presiding. <br />Roll Call e Present - Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett,Brocan, Grootegoed, <br />and Belzer, also AZr. Peterson, Engineer. <br />, Absent - None. . <br />The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 15, 1961, were then read to <br />Council. It was moved by Mrse Brown, seconded by A1r. Belzer, that the Minutes <br />of the regular meeting be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett,Brotan,Grootegoed & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />Mayor Endress then asked f or reports f rom the Committees. Mrs. Brown, <br />reporting f or the Architectural Board, said that they had approved plans for <br />three houses and two additions and that the plans f or the new church on SOM <br />had come ine that she was in a tiurry and did not have suff icient time to <br />study them, that they were turned.over to the Architects on the board.f or study <br />and would come back at the next meeting. Mrs. Brown then read a letter from . <br />Mrs. Petro, asking that the Village give them $250000 for the summer recreational <br />program. Mrs. Brown said that the Welfare Committee recommended this donatione <br />It was then moved.by Mrsa Brown, seconded by Mr. Grootegoed, th the <br />Clerk be authorized to dz'ajf a, warrant_f or $250000 to the Mayfield ?. <br />?-tee . ? C:?.Le,? • / <br />? . ? <br />Roll Cal1;.Ayes - Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Belzera <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carr.ied <br />, There was nothing to report f rom the Building.Committee, <br />, <br />Mr. Grootegoed, reporting for the Safety and Service Committee, said . <br />that their Committee had discussed a request.f rom Police Chief Shortle that.the <br />Department be altowed to hoolc up their radios with Lake County, Mr. Grootegoed <br />went on to. explain that the only contact at present was by telephone and that <br />it left .our Northeast portion'of the village rather unprotectedo_ Nir. Grootegoed <br />explained that this would give us instant eontact with Willoughby Hills and, <br />with Police Mutual aid, would be an asset to the Department. This would cost <br />about $200.00 for the conversion. Mayor Endress then discussed our present <br />S
