Strater reported that, as we had no jai.l for prisoners, our <br />Po].:i.ce DeparIument ha.d been in the habit of takina- them to MaJfield Heights, <br />It had been found on numerous occasions that our prisoners had been-_put to <br />work by I`7ayfield. Heights, and Mr. Strater cited the case of the 7.ast prisoners <br />being made to wash the police car in Mayfield Heights. Mr. Strater asked <br />for a resolution to enter into an a?'eement wi.th Mayfield Heights for tlve <br />eare of our prisoners at a cost of ?3.00 per day and cost of food. <br />Mre Strater, seconded by Mr. Taylor, then introduced Resolution <br />No. 328, entitled: "A Resolution Approving anAgreement With the City of <br />Mayiield Heights, Ohio, for.the Incarceration of Prisoners in Its Jaz.l", <br />which resolution was read to Council. <br />It was moved by 111S°.
