Reed then reported that at a zneeting 15 muzutes before Council <br />he no-ticed that Jerome and Capretta and Robley Iane both had a street ti,rith the <br />same narie "Ra.vine Drive", and one of these shou].d be changed. e <br />Council again mentior_ed lot s3zes and the matter was discussed <br />briefly from the p.oint of. view of the possibility that Cleveland would have to <br />back dotim from its stand on water. T'a.yor Enciress said that Mayor Celebrezze <br />was holcLing the line on this matter. <br />Jerome and Capretta then showed their plans to Council. There was : <br />no change except the set-back on ravine lots of 40 feet and thef asked that <br />the Clerk sign their pl,at for record. _ Mr. Edelma,n said that this coul.d not <br />be done until a bond was posted for improvements. <br />In looking over the pleans, Mro De More said that there was 25 feet <br />on sublot 9.on the Fisher development for a road and wan-ted to make certain <br />that the other 25 feet was left open. No action was talcen. <br />Mro Robley appeared and again requested permission to Urithdraw <br />$4000o00 of his Bond Money.from the Society for Savings. This matter ti+ras <br />left for next I`7onday's meet3ng, when I`2r. Robley will present a letter from the, <br />bank relative to half the contract money being paid. <br />Nr. Strater, reporting for the Sa.fety and Service Conunittee, <br />recommended that Council purchase a Darley Dipping Needle for the Serv-ice <br />Department for ax°ound $22,50m This was needed to uncover the utility boxes <br />along the site oi the sewer and. for other u-ti.lity neeclse It was moved by Mr. <br />FalY.,, sec arided by Mr. Hopkins, that this instrument be purchased, . <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Iy1essrs Taylor., Wedler,Strater,Brotan,Falk & Hopirins. <br />Nays - Non,e. . <br />_ Diotion carried <br />. k7ro Strater than reported that the Service Department was under-manned <br />and it was now time to put on a fu11 time man in this department to aid the <br />Building Inspectorm He then recommended that Council advertise for a man at a <br />starting salaxy of 4$3600.00 per year. t1Zr. Strater, seconded by Mre Falk' then <br />introduced Orciinance No. 557 entitled: "An Ordinance Amending Orclinance No. 298 <br />by Authoriz3ng the Emp1o3i-ment of an Assistant Building Inspector & Service <br />Di.rector", which ordinance was read to Councile . <br />, It was. movad by 14r. Taylor, seconded by j`irv Falk, that the rules of <br />law requ.z.ring an ordinance to he read on three separate.occasions be suspended. <br />.
