Minutes of the Regular Xeeting. <br />- December l7a 1956 . <br />The Council. of the Villa.ge of Mayfie-ld met in regul,ar meeting at <br />the Village Iia7.1, at 8:00 P. M. December 179 1956, Mayor Endress presiding. <br />Rol1 Ca]1: Present - Messrs Taylox°,Wedler,stra$er.,Brown.,Falk & Hopkins. <br />Absent - None• . _ - - ° The Min.utes of the Regular Meeting of November 199 1956, were then <br />read to Council. It was moved by lqro Taylor9 seconded by Mr. Hopkins' that <br />ths minutes of the.reguIa.r meeting be approved and passed as read. <br />RoLt Call: Ayes ? Messrs Taylor9tiiedler,9trater.,Bx°own,Falk &Hopkins. <br />Nays - None. ' <br />Motion carried - <br />14inutes approved <br />Reverend Leach, representing the "Church of the Tnearnation" being <br />present, the matter- of using the Toyan Ha1.1 for church services was brought up <br />•at this time. Mr. Hopkins advised Council tha-t the School Board was onl,y too <br />happy to a7low this. organization to make use af the sehool parking lot during <br />serrices at the Town Ha.ll. Mro Hopkins also reported that between 35 and 50 <br />cars could be expected. Reverend Leach then vol.unteered to answer any questions <br />and was asked how long the Yia].l would be desi.red.s He said tha.t they would not <br />need the Torn Ha1,l longer •than one year, possibly -less, that they wore consider- <br />inn.g several sites in our gillage, one of w'rri.ch was the :TnTeisberg Barn;, that. <br />services would commnce February 1st or slzoz°tly therQa.t'tera that they were <br />b-uying a Rectory in the area and tha.t the pastor wou7.d live here a Ma.yor <br />Endress then asked whether Rewerend Leach thought paxking could be contro]1ed <br />under his jurisdictaon. Reverend Leach thought that everyone would be on his <br />best behav:i.or and no trouble t,ras anticipated. He also said that in case of <br />snow' a bu7ldozes^ would be secured and a man emp7.oyed; that serv-ices would <br />beg3n at el.even o' clock and that it woz].d be necessary to store an electric <br />OT°gaTle Mr. Taylor then brought the Reverend Patty into the discussion and <br />said that he had been advised that a release would-have to be secured fram <br />the Church in Gates Mi71s before any building could be done i.ri our Villagea <br />and that such a release had not been secured to his 1rnowledge. There was <br />considerable cliscussion of this subject ixi Council. It was then moved by Mr. <br />Hopkins, seconded by Mrsm BroVan, th,at permission be given to use the Totm <br />I?a71 and -a week7y fee of $10.00 be co],lected. That no jaxiitor service or <br />set-up be included in this permit, and that the perrni.t be for on.e.year, <br />star°ting on February lst, 1957, <br />Ro1.7. Calla Ayes - Mrs. Brown anfl YLr.
