Cal.la Present - Y"essrs Tayl,or,Wec11er9Strater9Brow?,Falk & Hoplsins. <br />Absent m None. <br />Ths Ma.nutes of the Regu1.az° Yeeting of December 17, 1956, 'were then <br />read to Counci:L, It was anoved by Mrsv B-rawn, secondecl by Mr. Strater, tlaat ? <br />the Niinutes of the-regu7oar aneeting___be appro4recl and passed as read. <br />RoI1 Call: Ayes -?`1essrs Taylor'Wedler9Strater,,Bro-?m9Fa]1c & Hopkins. <br />Nays - None o <br />Motion carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />' The Minutes of the Special Yieetirzg of January 14th3 19579 were then <br />read to Council,o St was moved by Mr_. Fa1k, seconcled by Tlr. Taylora that the <br />minutes of the Special Meeting be approved aald passed as read. <br />Rol,l. Motion carried <br />Miriutes Approve@ <br />, Mayor Endress then said that there were many tYiings from the 1.a,st <br />meeting to ta.ke care of and asked if the Bond for 2'hornapple had been posted. <br />The Clerk reported that the borad Yiad beert posted and the plat recorded. <br />The matter of vater for Beech Hill Road was next taken upo Mro Grirnn, <br />representzng the propert3r owners on the, East side of the street, spolze to <br />Caunczl and.said that he ha.d receined a letter fram Mr. yde]man stating the <br />situation, but thought that the propex-Cy owners on the West side should stand <br />some of the e.Ypense$ even thola.gh they had paid on other mai.xis. The Fire <br />Plugs and the £act that there was water on Beech Hill would benefit property <br />owners on tYie West sicle. There was a great. deal of di.scussion regarcUiig a <br />pieee of property on the other side of the street, as it had beeri x°eported , <br />that they cauld get urater from the county. Mayor Endress said that wherever <br />they_ got water they would be assessed - tla.at the lot in questaon was recorded. <br />Mr. Edelman to].d NIr. Cr3mm -that he was afx°aid that if wre assess the people on <br />the'West side, they would ha.ve legit3.mate objections. <br />Mr, Fa1k then asked that this be referred to the Safety arid,Serva.ce <br />Comrriittee to see if someth:ing cou7.d not be worked out. rla.yor Endress then <br />tiirned over the whole affair ta the 5afety and Service Comr#ttee to hand],em <br />. MrQ Fa1k also said that his r eason for asking the Safety and Servi.ce Committee <br />to work on z-t was that some of the lots on the Ilest side eould be sp].it up <br />and in cases of this sort, they should not be total].y exempt from assessment. <br />].e
