M., Mayor Endress presiding. <br />Ro11 Ca11: Present - Messrs Taylor9Strater,Brown,Falk and Hoplflns. <br />Absent - lqr. Wedlera The Minutes of the regular meeting of Februa.ry 19th., 1957, were then <br />read to Council,. It was moved by NZr. Stra-ter, seconded by Mra Falk, that the <br />minutes of the regu].ar meeting,be approved and passed as read. - Ro11 Call: Ayes -lqessrs Taylor9 Strater, Brown, Falk and Hopkins. <br />Nays - None. <br />I"Totion carried <br />Minutes approved. <br />Mayor Endress then broiaght up the subject of establishin.g a grade line <br />so thati rh-. xa.ssink could install a new sielewaJk, Ma.yor Endress was under the <br />impression that our engi.neer ha.d the in.foriaation and authority to establish <br />this gs^ade, but it developed that he lmewnothing about it. Mr. Strates°, <br />seconded by lir. Fa1k, then introduced a reso].ution authorizir_g our Engineer <br />to establ,ish a Side Wa1k Grade Line for the east side of SOM Road from Wilson <br />Mills south to Seneca Road, which resolution was read to Council. <br />Roll Ca11s Ayes - Messrs Taylor, strater, Brown, Falk and Hopkins. <br />Nays None. " . <br />1Kotion carried <br />Resoluta.on passed <br />Mayor Encl:?ess then asked Mr. Hopk3sis about his check on the Covnty <br />property at Eeechhill. Mr. Hopkins reported that this property was entirely <br />unsuited for baseball or any.other recreational purposes, due to the ravine <br />and filter beds, <br />Mr. DunUar then presented the Bonds for Patrolman Doremus and Gould, <br />wiu.ch were approved by our Solicitor. <br />Mayor Endress then asked whether anything further had been heard on the <br />subject mf a eab ordinance. 14r. Hopkins reported that he had:talk?d ?rith <br />1?. Dixon, who ha.d. asked him about a Franchise, but said he did riot con-template <br />going into the matter not+1, as the insurance rates -were too high. Mre Edelman <br />said that we had no taxi,ordinance, but that he could draw one, if it was <br />wantedo He suggestea, hawever, tha,t we wait and get a copy of a new taxi <br />ordinanee nvw being drawn up for ^another vi7lage. <br />Mr. Ziherl of Worton Park then asked if C.ouncil would pay for the <br />street lights on Worton Park, noTtr-that the streets were dedicated, and wished <br />to lrnow what ha.d been done on the bond issue for improving Worton Parkv ?vir. <br />1.
