Edelman said tl-lat these improvements requixed a trsmendous amount of money'
which could not be secured under our present debt limit and suggested that
the Safety and Service Comi.ttee should establish priority for various
isnprovements and we could see wha.t could be done tiri.tliin our debt limit. Mr.
Ede]maiz also sai.d tha.t if he could have these :Eigures, 4e wou.]od go doian to
the County Aucli.tor and see-what cou7.d be done over what period of time,
and when.
Mr. Fa]k asked if the majoritv of people wanted all thsse a.mprovements
a-t once and _rqrs Z5her1 said «At least the sewer and water."
Pr. Falk, in speaking of the lights, asked tha.t this raa.tter be turned
oJer to the _Safety and Serrice Cortmiittee. Xr, Strater said that his Comniitcee
had already been over the sittia.tion and it was now sorrething i or the Finance
Committee to conszder. Mr.
De kqore said that the r ederal aid for the entl.re state of Ohio iras only one
rai]lion do11.ars, which_.would leave about 650,000.00 for Cuyahoga county, and
this would be-a drop in the bucket. There was a great deal of discussion
on this matter and the fact that municipa7.ities had gotten together and
that there were plalzs, but no money and unless the County stepped in with
help, nothing could be done.
° Mayor Endress theri asked for a report from the Safety Committee. Mr.
Strater said that his Committee would like to put a gate at the end of the
drive going into the school property -to alleviate the traffic situation on
Wi1son I''1i11s cturing churcn hour. Mr. Strater reported that he had three bids
from various fence companies., the l,owest be3.n.g the Brown Fence and Wire Co.
in our Vi,Uage, quoting $185.00 for a double and $203.00 for a sing]e gate.
Tllr. Strater said this gate would be opened and closed onl,y by the Poliee.
It was moved by Mr. Hopkins, seconded by Mr. 5trater,?that this gate
be instal].ed. ,
Ro]1 Call: Ayes - Messrs Taylor,Strater,Brown,Fall: and Hopkins.
Nays - None.
Mot? on carr:i.edo
Hr. Falk then got out a development map and said that Mro Gabriel of
Gabriel?Construction Co. wished an expression from Council sothey could go
anead with their pum?ing s'ua-tion and not lose money. The plan had been
approved by our Engineer and the Commi.ssion. Mr. Reed, the Chai r7nan of the
Committee, arrived at this point and the report to Council was turned over
to him.
2.
