Reed then said that his committee had rwt on Iiarch 119 1957, and <br />took up the mattex of Concrete ftoadways and that the Comm3.ttee unanimously <br />reaommended to Council that the 7 inch rea.nforced concrete road with ditches <br />poured be incoxporated in our ordinance dealing iTith our road specifications. <br />Mr. Reed saa.d that the eommittee had been undecided on the width of the road, <br />but thought that the cuz^bing and 22 foot raad would be reeomanended. <br />A questzon then arose as to what to do on dedicated streets now waiting <br />to be paved and developments already approved. Hro Edelman said that Council <br />should pass a specaficat3.on ordinance and rule on each pxojec-t as it came up. <br />It was then moved by lZr. Falts, seconded.by Xr. strater, that Council <br />recess for ten inin.utes. _ <br />Roll Cal..l: Ayes -Messrs Tay1Qr' Strater9 Brot,m, and Falke <br />Nays - Mr. Hopkins. <br />Motion passed <br />Council then recessed for ten minutes. <br />A11 five Gouncilmen ha,v.ing returned in the space of ten m?.nutes, I'lla.yor <br />Endress then cal,led Council into session. - <br />f <br />Council -then raported that they recommended changino the wording on our <br />Qrcu,na.nce so that all dedicated streets and developments a7xeady appx°oved by <br />Council are riot affected by this ordinance, th.at Paragraph 6 E o£ our <br />Ordinance should not apply to streets in subdivisions shown on recordings <br />of,subdivisions and on fi,nal p]ats which have been approved by Counca.l prior <br />to the passage of this ordinance. In such cases, specifications found ua <br />six E of OrdSna.nce 468 as it existed prior to the passage of this orc3inance <br />should appl,y. These changes wex•e then wra.tten into the orcli.nance• It was <br />moved by Mr. Strauer, seconded by 4. xopkins, that the rul.es of law; <br />requuirinb an ordinance to be read on three separate.occasians be suspended, <br />as to drdinance No. 566' entitled: "An Ordinance to Amend Section 6 of <br />Orclinance No. 468, Relating to Tmprovemnt of StxReets." <br />Roll CaJ1: Ayes - Nessrs Taylor,Strater,Browm,Fa1.k and Hopkins. <br />Nays - None. . . . <br />Moti,on carried <br />Ru1es suspended <br />It was moved by Mr. Taylor, sec onded by Mr. Hopkins' that arclinance <br />No. 566.be approved and passed as read, as amended.. <br />Ro,]1, calls Ayes - Messrs Taylor,Stratsr; Brown, Falk and Hopkins. <br />.
