Minutes of the Regular Meeting <br />October 20, 1958 <br />The Couricil of the Village of I'Iayfield met in open meeting at the <br />Town Hall at 8:00 P. M.., May.or Endress presiding. <br />Roll Ca11: Present - Messrs. Taylor, Wedl.eriStrater,Brown' Zorn & Hopkins. <br />Absent - None. <br />The 14inutes of the Regul.ar Nleeting of September 15, 1958, were then <br />read to the Council. It tsas moved by Mra Taylor, seconded by Mr4 Wed].er, that <br />the Minutes of the Regul.ar Meeting be, approved and passed, as read, <br />_ Roll Call: Ayes - Nessrs Taylor,trJedler'Strater.,Brown, Zorn & Hopkins. <br />- <br />Nays - None. , Motion carriecl <br />Minutes Approved <br />Mayor Endress then asked for Committee reports. Mrs. Brown said that <br />the Archi.tect?a.ral Board had met on October 18, 1958, and approved plans for a <br />house on Noman Lane and 1.ooked over a few other.small plans. <br />. . NTr. Hoplcins, reporting- for the Building Committee9 said.that he had <br />taken the matter,of tor-tion bars on the Fire Station doors up wif„n -CoLUncil <br />on a previous -meeting and it had been discussed by the Safety Committee' bu-t <br />would like the matter tabled for a time. <br />Mr. Hopkins also reported that our Treasurer had requested a new <br />file.cabinet for the office and said that at the p resent time the Treasurer <br />had only one drawer of a cabinet that was Aow full - Mr. Rogers had left a <br />specification pamphlet showing what he wished and this was presen-ted to <br />Council by Mr. Hopki.ns. The cost would be around $54.00. It was movea by <br />Mr. Hopkins, seconded by. Mr• Zorn, that this file cabinet be purchased, <br />Roll Ca71: Ayes - Messrs Teylor9 Wedler'Strater9Brown.,Zorn &-Hopkins. <br />Nays - None. <br />Piotion carried <br />M r. Strater, reporting for the Safety Co?nrnittee, said that he had <br />mostly little -things to report' one of these being an amendment to the <br />ordinance govelmi.ng rubbisho Mr. S trater said that it was felt by the <br />Committee that the Ordirlance should be passed as writteri; that there was a <br />lot of undue arrxiety over this osdinance; that Mr. Z1Tieland was very concernecl <br />over the amount of outside rubbish being brought into the Village and.. that this <br />ordinance would also restrict the inciiscriminate burning of rubUish aiid; waste <br />material.o Mr. Strater said that a11 the business pen were aware of these . <br />conditions9 but the Safety Commi.ttee felt that tize ar°dinance should.be left <br />exact,ly as it wasQ l, <br /> <br />I
